Known as the "Lord of Hunger," Nihilus's very existence is a threat to all life, as his hunger grows stronger the more he feeds, eventually driving him to consume entire planets. His connection to the dark side is so deeply intertwined with his hunger that he has lost almost all semblance of humanity, existing as a wraith bound to a mask and robe, a living void in the Force. As a Berserker, his endless need to devour life energy mirrors the mad fury of his class, making him one of the most dangerous entities to exist in the galaxy.
