back at the white palace,
Boa sneaked out of the false Alice's bedroom, slightly smiling to herself because she was given a name. The false Alice was very kind and sweet, he didn't hurt Boa at all. The King was very scary, but Alice protected her.
She slithers into the broom closet where she transforms into a human, changing into the maid uniform she hid there. Going out with a broom to be less suspicious, Boa had other plans to spend her night. She's mostly nocturnal since they have to guard Master Spade while he sleeps, so she's used to staying up late.
She was roaming the white palace, trying to memorize the layout for useful information. But, outside a certain window she sees the familiar white rabbit ears of a handsome Rabbit, smiling and talking to the magician he serves.
"... come on, let's try Marco," Ridge says to Lady Caterpillar who is trying to fix certain plants eaten by insects. She blows smoke to the leaves which then restores their health.
"Don't even try," she says with a mature and husky voice, tucking the cigarette between two fingers. She turns to Rabbit, "Marco may be the weakest out of us magicians, but that's only because he doesn't know how to control his powers. If he does, and kills you in self-defense, I won't have an Assistant now, would I?"
"Self-defense? For what? Nobody can resist me," Rabbit smirks while pinning his hands on the railing behind Cat, pinning her there. Boa gasped at the sight.
Lady caterpillar exhales a pleasant smoke towards his face, "I can."
"I'm not seducing you, Master."
Of course, Rabbit being charming like this is second nature at this point. "You can play with anybody else, but if you're messing with Marco or Chester, leave me out of it."
Lady Caterpillar flicks her wrist and the giant flower above them bent to hit Rabbit on the head. As she walks away from him, he caresses his ears, "Ow... come on Cat, what about our deal?"
"I don't mess with fellow magicians," she mutters, fertilizing the carnations and tending to the garden as she usually does. "You're your own person, you can fùck them on your own."
"I wouldn't do you like that," Rabbit sighs, looking up at the maroon sky and beautiful blood-red moon. "I'm just pretty bored. We've been too busy with the war to really do anything. I'm willing to fùck you at this point."
Lady Caterpillar turns to face him, "Behave, Rabbit. Be patient. Good boys get rewarded. Do you understand?"
In her peripherals, she sensed someone watching. Although, the palace's windows are all soundproof, so that little thing spying on them couldn't hear. When Mal glances at the silhouette, she noticeably jumps and hides against the walls.
"Yes, Master."
Lady Cat smirks, "Good boy."
I woke up with an upset stomach, and it maybe that disgusting fish egg—or Caviar that Alex fed me during dinner last night. But last night in Wonderland... oh, don't even think about Ace.
It's not like I have a chance, anyway.
I seemed to have woken up Meadow because I tripped and fell on the floor, mainly because of iron deficiency. No, it's... it's the lack of sleep. Being awake in wonderland keeps my body awake when I sleep in the real world! This is insane!
"Good morning, girl..." I say to the meowing princess who is waiting to be fed tuna. I oblige, putting in a day's worth, before getting ready for school.
I didn't run into Alex on the way, so I sighed upon getting to the gate. I don't know why I'm sighing; maybe in relief because he's not bothering me anymore... hmm. Or maybe... ahhh, my head is filled with that King of Hearts?! It's like I want Alex to bother me so I can be delusional and feel like I'm fighting with Ace again?!
