Ace, King of Hearts

The card of Divination was created by me extracting the powers from my dying father. It was the first card I ever created... it was given to me with his last breath, he gave it to me with a smile, and a warning.

"To know of the future... is to live your present in fear of it."

I thought it would be the most powerful card to save Wonderland. I know exactly what leads to the blue skies, or the opposite. Until, that future would only end with the crown in my hands and Alice slipping out of my fingers.

"Wonderland doesn't need me anymore," Erin will say. "An outsider like me... has to go home."

"You don't have to. Wonderland is your home," I'd tell him.

"Do you know why Wonderland was created?" ... "A lost, abused, sad little girl imagined a world where flowers are the size of trees and all animals lived in harmony with humans. After her dog died beside her, she dreamed of a world where magicians exist to protect everyone and everything in her Wonderland.

"Her hope was so strong that she created such a world full of wonder. After she overpowered the Red Queen and gave Wonderland blue skies, she had to go back to the real world. Where she died in winter... homeless, cold, accompanied by a lifeless pet.

"But Wonderland lives on, searching for an Alice that can restore the blue skies again after the destruction of the Magician's Academy triggered the Red Skies."

Erin faced me with the most proud of smiles. "I'm so happy, Ace. To be the Alice to save Wonderland. To save you..."

He reached his hand out to me, and I accepted it, but my hand went through his as if he's nothing but smoke. "No... don't leave... Wonderland needs you—"

"No, it doesn't, Ace."

"I NEED YOU," I fell to my knees, watching his face start to fade. "I need you, Erin. I need you more than I need to live!"

He smiled at me sadly. "You're the first man I ever loved, and I promise you will be the last. I'm so sorry, Ace."

"Goodbye, Ace. In all lifetimes, I will be yours. In the real world, I will love only you."

"Wait..." He would leave me as King of Wonderland, yet without a soulmate, a soul, a heart that I gave to Alice. "No... I dont want to be King. I don't want to be the most powerful, all of it... ALL OF IT IS USELESS IF I LOSE YOU."

But Wonderland took him away from me. I reached out for him, only for his hand to disappear. And when I opened my eyes, I was holding his hand again. Erin...

Back when he first fell into the pond as a shooting star, back when he panicked and cried while calling me Alex. I was holding his hand again, after I saw him disappear under a blue sky.

"You're..." you're the one who will steal my heart, bring back the blue skies, and leave with my heart in your hands.

"My Lord! It's not safe here... we must go. They must've seen the falling star that indicated Alice's return."

I went to tell Knight to bring the new Alice back to the palace, without informing anyone in the Kingdom. I faced the red skies.

"You felt it too, huh Spade?" I spoke to someone that couldn't hear me. "He has returned. This time... I'm not losing Alice. I'm not losing him."

I know Erin would be the one to restore Wonderland to its blue skies. I know how we would say goodbye before I'd never see him again, living the rest of his life in the real world as if we're nothing but a dream.
