Chapter Thirty Four: Cheshire in Paradise

A veiled Cheshire Cat in a red outfit made for female concubines escorted Erin back to his room. Erin was carrying the Vorpal blade, and Cheshire recognized it.

"You can carry it easily?" He asks.

"Of course," Erin answers. "I'm Alice, aren't I?"

Erin was flustered and tired from fighting Spade, though light hearted, and Cheshire raises an eyebrow at him. Bitterly he says, "Hmph, even with the most powerful sword in Wonderland, you can't even kill Spade."

"He's way better than me."

Cheshire rolls his eyes, "You just wasted your breath fighting him, then."

Cheshire was a lot more spicy today. He adds, "You can never get any blade close to Spade. His tattoos are whose eyes and he can see everything."

"Then why did you give me a dagger?"

"I was hoping you'd get close enough to kill him." Cheshire looks away, "But I don't expect you to succeed. Spade is very powerful."

"I've witnessed it..." Erin arrived at the King's bedroom, and he turns around to speak to Cheshire before he goes. "Stay safe, Cheshire... when I marry Spade, Wonderland will go back to normal. I'll make sure you get home."

Home? Cheshire bows at him out of courtesy, before Erin closes the door. Freedom isn't at home.

He comes down so he can go and hang out with Spade again, but he was suddenly pulled to the side by a familiar pair of warm hands. "Ahh!"

"We've been searching for our favorite concubine for a while..." Rouge pushes his head against Cheshire's neck, all while he tries to pull away.

"Stop! Get away!"

"Don't worry, Albi," Azure says, freezing handcuffs around Cheshire's wrists and restraining them behind his back. "When Spade marries Alice, there's no need for you to be with him."

He squirmed and kicked until he managed to push Rouge away with his feet, and he lands painfully on the floor. "Hah, as if Ace will allow him to marry Alice!" Ow, my tailbone...

"Ace is gonna die," Azure produces a flame of ice in his hand, "It's our job to make sure the wedding is uninterrupted."

Cheshire backs into the wall as Rouge kneels before him, holding the hollows of his cheeks and pressing the veil against his scar. "And when Ace and the magicians attack, we'll make sure you suddenly disappeared, never to be seen again."

Azure chuckled as Cheshire stares in horror. The ice in his hands formed into a sharp icicle dagger. "If we deformed your face so no one will ever find you beautiful... we'll make sure you can't run from us next."

Rouge forcefully kisses Cheshire, and he was pulled upright and dragged against his will. "I won't go with you! Leave me alone, PLEASE! I don't want to—!"

Cheshire hopped over his restrained wrists so they end up in front of him, before wrapping his arms around Rouge. The heat from that man is enough to melt the ice and he pounces away, rolling to the ground once before running for his life.

"CHESHIRE!"

"Ahh!" He dodges spikes of ice thrown his away, and when he was about to go down the stairs, Azure conjures spikes crawling from the bottom, all the way up.

"Get back here, Cheshire."

No. Cheshire had no choice but to run up more stairs which he hasn't been from before. He was about to go through a hallway when his path lit up in flames, so he detoured up another circular staircase.
