Third person means Erin is in Wonderland. First person means he is in "the real world"

Erin woke up in a luxurious room of white and gold, wearing a simple white dress shirt and pants. The duvet is thick and not like his thin blanket at home... his pillow is soft and not worn out like at home. He's not at home; and in the background, there are voices of very familiar people.

"The cards could be wrong, my Lord. Your Divination isn't polished yet."

"He looks like her at first glance."

"A sibling, maybe."

"Knight, he knows." Sounds like the Alex Erin knows, "Spade knows 'she' has returned. If he finds out it's not actually Alice, he will destroy Wonderland because he knows she's not coming to stop him. Alice's return is the only reason he hasn't taken over yet."

"What if she comes later?" Knight asks. Ace pulls out an old card: a Queen, but half of it is a Heart and the other half is a black Spade. He remained silent so Knight adds, "The Prophecy did say that Alice is coming to save Wonderland again right?"

Ace frustratedly threw the card on the ground, by Knight's feet. "The Prophecy only stated that her return will decide which side will be victorious. It didn't actually guarantee that the Heart will win. It's unsure if we will win."

"But my Lord, you said—"

"I had to keep the hope within others," Ace seriously says, "I've interpreted it as 'Alice's return will save us' so our people will stay hopeful. I have hope in Alice's return."

"But that's not Alice..." Knight sadly states, pointing at the boy in the bed. "And if you tell them the truth..."

Ace looks away because he doesn't want his Knight to see him in this state. "They will stop fighting against Spade's army because we don't have Alice, and she's not ever coming back. I can't let them lose hope and give up."

"What do you suggest we do, my Lord?"

Ace glances at their 'failed' return of Alice, and only then does he notice the boy sitting up with tears running down his face. "He's awake..."

"What... why..." Erin whispered in disbelief. "Why did I come back to this dream..."

"Dream?" The two men approached him, and he stared at Ace with pure hatred in his eyes.

"WHY?!" He yells out, paralyzed by his fear and anger towards the King of Hearts. "SHE WAS INNOCENT. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL HER?! YOU MONSTER!"

"What—HEY!" Erin grabbed a lampshade and threw it towards Ace, who then turned it into a mosaic of cards that fell to the ground before it could hit his face. "What are you doing?! I didn't kill anyone!"

"This is a dream, you won't get hurt! But you killed that cat!" Erin threw everything he could get his hands on; the pillows, the other lampshade, and that was it. He jumps off the bed and runs to the other part of the room where he grabbed some books.

"Young man, you need to calm down..." The one-eyed Knight tries to de-escalate the situation, but he leaves the King of Hearts to defend himself against the books because he's capable enough.

"YOU TOO!" Erin throws two books at Knight, but Ace effortlessly makes them explode into a deck of cards elegantly falling to the ground. "This is just a dream, but I still want to kill you—"

Ace flicks his wrist, throwing a single card that flew onto Erin's wrist and cut it clean, making him drop the book in pain. "Ahh—! Ow..."

"Dream, you say? Well, did that hurt?" An angry Ace makes the cards from the floor levitate until they all point their sharp edges toward Erin in mid-air. "Doing this won't hurt if it was a dream, yes?"
