Oh shit. The twins' gang came for me! Usually I just go with them and allow them to punish the guy I'm with, but I don't think I want them to hurt—
"I'll have to apologize to Knox, then..." Stephen stretched and took off his jacket, revealing a hidden bulk and a full sleeve of animal tattoos. He winks at me, "And to the restaurant owner."
"GET HIM!"
I screamed and backed away to multiple customers who panicked and are trying to exit, but I stayed stunned watching Stephen wrap his jacket around one guy's neck, and swinging his leg to another's head. He stomped on that guy's head while he dodged another baseball bat.
He used the man wrapped in his jacket to shield himself from the baseball bats while he punched and kneed two others in the head and crotch before breaking one's arm. Stephen unrolled his jacket and threw the man to three other gangsters, sending them to the ground.
He pulls out hundreds of dollar bills to put under a cup, apologetically bowing to the manager on the phone with 911. Then he hopped on a table before me and held out a hand, "Do you trust me?"
"ARE YOU INSANE?! I need to go with them—"
"With who?" He asks, looking around to see either knocked out or severely hurt gangsters. "Do you trust me?"
"I really don't," but I took his hand he pulls me out of the restaurant. I found myself laughing at the twins' gang as we ran outside and Stephen hands me his helmet. "You just took on six guys at once!"
"Seven, actually..." Stephen revs up his Ducati and I was still putting on my helmet. "Hold on, Kitty."
"WHAA! Hey!" I wasn't ready but I managed to wrap my legs around Stephen's waist. I found myself laughing as we escaped, and I was holding on tight since racers tend to go much faster than regular riders.
Stephen took me to a lounge bar that wasn't as busy because it's still the afternoon. People were playing billiards, darts, anything while jazz music is playing. I can tell this place is gonna be a club at night, complete with poles on tables. But for now, it's a play place, and Stephen sat me on a booth.
"Why did you take me here, Aladdin?" I ask him with crossed arms.
"Because I go here every time I get into fights. It clears my head... seeing people compete and play." He orders some drinks and me a burger. "The owner's Muslim, so the food here is halal."
"You're Muslim?" I scoff, crossing my leg but my ankles are touching him. "Does your religion say anything about fighting seven men at once? For the sake of a boy? And your tattoos..."
I'm making siren eyes at Stephen now. Is it why he said he's not after my body? Because it's not allowed in their religion? Why am I disappointed I can't seduce him...
"We all have a different relationship with God, I don't want to follow all the rules. I was raised that way, and though I do haram things, I still eat what I've eaten in childhood, take good care of living beings—except humans, fuck humans—and respect how others do with their religion, I think I'm good."
"You're weird."
Stephen thanks the server as he drinks some alcohol, "Christians break a lot of rules in the Bible but still calls themselves Christians. So I can avoid pork while still getting myself tattooed. All of us die sinners anyway, why not have fun while we're alive?"
I laugh at him as I eat my burger. "You're weird. Still didn't explain how you can beat up seven gangsters all by yourself."
Stephen smiled at his glass of rum and coke. "A kid just chose to take out their anger on the world with Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Fencing or sports... and still can be angry enough to beat someone up. I'm not proud of that kid, but he can be useful sometimes."
