Rajni taking Ahana under her wings, comforted her with the environment and took her to meet with her guests. Ahana was trying to keep her social anxiety at side and slowly started mingling with them well when one of Rajni's friends asks, "Beta, haven't your parents and family came. It's your first day in this family, aren't they joining us?"

Hearing this, Ahana's face pale out a little and she lowered her gaze, oblivious what to answer.

(Flashback: At Sehgal House after Wedding)

Walking inside the house, Ashmita and Kavita walked straight into the living while their husbands tailed them behind after sending their kids off to room.

"Did you see how that bitch changed right after the wedding?", Kavita sneers. "Instead of being grateful to us, to feed her, and keep her in our house after whatever she did. She had the audacity to throw attitude towards us?", she adds, fuming with fury.

"True... I can't even explain how badly I want to teach her a lesson for acting up like that in front of hundreds of people", Ashmita growls.

"Ashmita... Kavita... Lower your voice. Mom and Dad can hear", Ashmita's husband says, but she shushes him back. "Your parents aren't home yet! They must be enjoying the royal treatment there. I'm sure!", she spats and he sighs softly.

"Yes. Your parents are very smart", Kavita adds, joining Ashmita. "We have fed her enough, and now she is married to a rich man. They played really smart!", she spat out of jealousy.

"True. Her coal-like dark future is brightened now, but that doesn't mean she can insult us like that", Ashmita adds and they all four nod their head in affirmation unaware that Nirmala and her husband were standing at the door.

Sharing a look of disappointment and hurt they sigh softly and try to walk to their room silently when Kavita noticing them, nudges Ashmita. A smirk crawls at the corner of her lips as their eyes meet and they all stand up. Piyush and his brother looked down as they didn't know how to face their parents after bitching behind them. While their wife's rolling their eyes at them steps forward and calls out for their in-laws.

"You surely helped your characterless daughter to settle for a jackpot. But don't think that will make her wash off her shady past", Asmita mocks and Agradip clenches her jaw. "Yes. Also, after what she did today with us, don't even think she has any place in this house", Kavita adds making Nirmala peer at them.

"What? Are you feeling pity for your cunning daughter?" Ashmita asks crossing her arms over her chest and Nirmala looks away. "We are not going to go in her reception tomorrow nor will she come here for ritual", she adds walking a step forward to her.

"What? But...what will I tell them?", Nirmala gasps. "That's not my concern. You figure it out!", saying she dashes off from there with Kavita and their husband's following behind while Nirmala and Agradip share a look with amusement.

Flashback ends

"Umm...", she stutters not knowing what to say. "Actually my in-laws are busy organising things for 'Pagh-phera'", a voice comes from behind making Ahana snap her head behind to find Rajveer. "So I asked them to not put themselves in pressure to come here", he adds.

Like a knight in shining armour, Rajveer helped her to answer the question she was hesitant about. A soft smile pops at her face and her eyes glow up while her heart skips a beat. "How? And why did you even help me?", she mumbles in her head as their eyes meet.

"I won't let you be alone in a tight situation", he replies in his head as if he could read in her eyes what she was thinking.

"Ah, yes! My son is right. They are really excited to welcome their daughter and son-in-law. As you know the marriage was in hasty", Rajni adds and everyone nods in understanding.
