Ahana was flabbergasted by his words, too numb to reply to anything while her tummy had some creeping butterflies tickling her belly. The awkward cloud hovered and an utter silence scattered through the room for a brief moment.
Are you sure you want this marriage for name sake?, his subconscious mocks as he pales out staring at her.
Rajveer was oblivious of his wants, having himself back and forth between his heart and mind.
He quickly lowers his gaze and takes a deep breath calming his mind. His heart beats irregularly fast as the heat rises to his cheeks and he feels exposed with his subconscious mind questions.
"Umh-- I meant that--", he starts, trying to cut the awkwardness and clear his intentions. "I m-mean... you know--", he stutters badly.
Poor boy! Can't even lie now?!, his subconscious laughs at him.
'Shut up!!!', he responds, mentally.
"I mean the couch is too small for me to fit in", he utters and a smile cracks at the corner of his lips.
Fuck... Rajveer! What are you saying?
Ahana was about to say she would sleep there and he doesn't need to worry when Rajveer cuts her. "Forget about me, it's small for you too...", he hastily utters and Ahana gives a deep thought.
"Come ... Let's sleep together today!", Rajveer bluntly utters only to cut his tongue while Ahana stares at him with an amused expression.
Did we have Maggi only? Or something else?, she wonders.
"I--I mea...", Ahana interrupts him this time. "Okay. I understood what you mean", she mumbles.
"Huh--?", he gasps, afraid she took his intentions wrongly. "Don't worry I know you didn't mean it in the wrong way", she adds up bringing a relief to him.
Rajveer remains numb while Ahana's voice echoes in his head, sharp. He smiles sheepishly to know she understands him and he was happy with that. On the other hand, Ahana silently walked to her side of the bed but then stopped.
"Do you like left or right?", she asks. "Um--left", he replies, taking a brief moment to realise what she meant.
Smiling a little Ahana walked to the right side and Rajveer to the left, swapping their positions. He was shy and she was nervous. But anyways turning their back to each other they settled on the soft mattress.
Should we really do this? Isn't it all too hasty?
Damn... What if we end up .. Oh my God!!!!
Both of them had their head buzzing but the moment they turn and their eyes meet they remained silent. No words left their lips instead smiling at each other they lay down on the bed facing their respective sides.
Their body were still, lying at the edge of the bed, leaving a big space for anyone to invade. While sleep was far away from their eyes, leaving their heart with fright.
An hour passes and Rajveer lost his patience, the restlessness inside him, and stiffness on the bed got him irked. He turns to the other side, to find Ahana awake and tense just like him.
"Ahm...", they both stutter to say something when someone shrugs Rajveer shoulders hard.

"Are you okay?," Ahana's concern filled face comes in front of his eyes while he gets jolts awake.
Ah-- we-- huh?, Rajveer's lips gapes but no word comes out of it.
He was standing in front of the door for the last 10 minutes as he arrived after doing the dishes. Meanwhile, Ahana after using the washroom came out to find Rajveer glued to his spot. She kept on calling him but he didn't answer and at last she had to grab his arms and shrug.
"Rajveer... Why you standing jello? Did you see any ghost or what?", she asks, finding him stare at her with bewilderment in his eyes. "Rajveer...", she calls again.
"Uhm-- Yes. I'm fine. It's nothing!", he blurts and walks inside the room, leaving her stunned.
What's wrong with this man? Isn't he weird?, shrugging her shoulders she walks inside as well, closing the door.
Ahana was so sleepy that she straight got into the bed and pull the duvet above her face, before dozing off soundlessly. On the other hand, Rajveer was still contemplating with the dream he just saw with his open eyes, curses him up. He was flustered to act strange and wonders what she might be thinking about him.
I should apologise.
Saying he turns to the other side, to find Ahana already asleep. "Huh--? She slept already!", he gasps. Not expecting this turn to occur.
"Ofcourse, she would. She is a human and does feel the need to sleep especially when it's 2 am already", his subconscious mocks and realisation hits him hard. "Stop overthinking and sleep, Raja sa! Or you'll turn out to be a zombie infront of her", his subconscious warns and Rajveer sighs.
The bed was queen size big and sighing deeply he lays down to his side. At middle, he placed some pillow just to have a safety precaution of not invading her space and dozes off too.
The night seemed to be too long while the thought was wild!

The sun shines brightly at the top and the birds were wide awake, dancing with the sunbeams. Soft breeze swing the branches while Ahana was curled up in her bed. She slept late last night, and it was 11:00 am now. The maids have arrived doing their chores and waiting for them to be awake.
A soft giggle and mumbling courses up down stairs as the servants gossip about their Sir and Ma'am.
"I'm sure they had a romantic night and that's why they are still asleep", one of the cute young girl mumbles. "Yes, even I feel the same", the other one replies.
"I wonder how pretty ma'am looks. Though I'm sure Raja sa must've searched for a gem, just like him", another one says and they giggle together before getting back to work and prepare lunch.
