"Shivangi, his...", she utters and Ahana's heart clenches tight. "Shivangi? Who's she?", she asks, her voice betraying with a sadness reflected in them.
Her eyes got glassy, as they desperately looked at Gyatri for a response.
"No one...", a baritone voice came from behind and the atmosphere felt silent. Ahana swiftly turns and gazes up at the owner of the voice. Her eyes scream for an answer when he dismisses the conversation with his authoritative tone. "She is not one..", he states.
Ahana fists her palm, anger stirring up inside her like a cyclone getting started with a spiral swing of winds. Clenching her jaw hard and glaring at him, she walks out of that place.
Striding inside the Mahal, with no idea of where to go, tear drops fell down her eyes one by one reciprocating the anger she was feeling. She wants to be left alone while havoc is clenching and twisting inside her.
Stopping at the far end, Ahana walks inside a store room, and hides herself between the broken almirah and boxes.
Her eyes are red and cheeks drenched in tears, she pulls her legs to her chest and looks straight only to find the mirror reflecting her reflection. The image of her reflection felt like a mockery, as she was crying and drowning in the pain she was clapsed in.
"See... Look at yourself Ahana, no one ... No one in this world wants you", she says, gritting her teeth. "They all have some above you", she adds.
"Firstly, your parents and siblings abandoned you while your lover cheated on you...", she mumbles with a bitter smile. "And now... even your husband had someone else in his life", saying she looks down for a moment.
"Aghhhhhh---- why?!", growling she throws the box near her hard. "Why I can't be the only choice. Why can't men in my life not cheat me? What am I lacking?", she yells, looking at the mirror.
Her breathe heaving as she desperately tries to look at herself despite the blurr teary vision. And then she softened up suddenly, the barriers holding her broke up and she tears flooded down her eyes.
"Why did you had to cheat me? Why did you betray me? Why??", saying she starts howling. "Why wasn't I enough for you?", she asks, recalling that heart wrenching night.
The past wounds were opening up again, leaving her insides torned. Her anger, her frustration was not for Rajveer or the lady associated with his name but for the man who deceived her in love. The instance today reminded her of him and the memories she wants to burn and run away. She couldn't control but break down in vain.
"Why it had to be with me?", crying she rests her face on her knees and cradle herself.
Meanwhile, outside the store room door someone was just silently listening to her agony filled cries. That person didn't want to disturb her intervene between her and her grief but be present in dark and silently be there for her.
============================
Hours passed by and it was almost evening the sun was about to be set glorifying the vast sky in a tinted orange colour. Ahana goes to her room and gets rid of that saree first, she chooses something from her mother-in-law wardrobe with the help of house help. It was again a old suit, bit loose but comfortable. Freshening up, she goes downstairs, in the hall room with her slightly puffed eyes and bumps into Sati.
She felt pity for Ahana knowing she was upset by Kaki who has no filter toward the sensitive situation.
"Hello, Rani sa, do you need my help?", she smiles brightly before her gloomy eyes could sense the vulnerability. "No.. I'm okay", she replied in a barely audible voice and Sati felt bad for her.
"Rani sa, come I'll give you a nice tour of our bagaan. It's breathtakingly beautiful at this hour", she chimes and Ahana looks at her with a softened gaze. "No.. I'm --", she was about to decline but Sati drags her out forcefully and she sighs defeatedly. "Ok."

Walking to the vast garden Ahana felt herself vibing with the soft breeze and healthy greenery. At the lanes side small colourful flowers with few butterflies brought a smile to her face. The more she walked she felt at ease, her body was relaxed and heart warm with the drowning sun's rays. Faint print of moon at the sky, waiting for the sun bid bye and him to sparkle the night. Everything was appealing and heartwarming while the constant chatter of Sati didn't made her feel bored at all. She was enjoying her company, as if they knew each other from when they were little and after a long break were reunited again.
"Rani Sa... can I ask you something?", she finally takes a breathable pause and Ahana smiles at her. "Firstly, call me Ahana. And yes you can ask", she replies making her giggle.
"Where did you meet your Raja Sa?", she asks with a curiosity and Ahana's smile fades a little. "Meet? Did we even meet?", she wonders, internally. "Say na... Rani sa. I want to know about your lo...", she was trying to get the details when she felt the small hair at the back of her neck rise up.
Goosebump scattered through her body and she knew the one only Raja Sa was standing right behind her. "Umm... Rani Sa, I mean Ahana, I have to go", saying she disappears like a thin air while Ahana stood there dumbfounded. "What just happened to her?", she questions.
"Nothing maybe, she got some work to do", a response comes from behind and she flinches at her place, feeling scared. "Careful, it's me, Rajveer", he comes in view seeing her almost loose her balance. But she somehow managed to balance herself without his help.
"Ap humesha mujhe darate kyun hain?", she screams at him, taking him aback. "Jab dekho kahin se bhi tapak padta hai, pakka insan hi hain na? Mujhe toh bhoot lagte hain?", she asks, with a furrowed brow, almost hovering his giant body with her tiny one.
Rajveer's eyes sparkled amazement, no one dares to talk with him so bluntly but her. And he totally likes it.
"I'm sorry, I never knew it scares you", he responds and she twitch her lips, frowning at him slightly. "Thik hai, maaf kia!", after a brief moment she replies making Rajveer fall for her cuteness. "Par ainda khyal rahe?", she adds, in a bit loud voice, warning him to not repeat his mistakes.
Can there be any moment when she doesn't looks cute?, he questions his subconscious.
"Boliye?", she asks, wanting to hear his words. "Ji, yaad rakhengey!", he replies and a sheepish smile coats her lips making him smile along.
