Chapter 53

Cole was about to lose his mind. He was furious enough to kill Chelsea and Louis, but Malachi reminded him that they needed to keep them alive for now. Until they found Kyra. He was so pissed that Louis had the audacity to steal his mate.

He'd become aware of her emotions not too long ago. She was awake now and rather calm, which helped him to relax some. It was her becoming afraid or upset that he was concerned about. He hated this with a passion. He'd tried mind linking her again, but so far, she was too far for that. 

Malachi had taken Chelsea to be locked up. She'd told them her brother was coming back that night. He was taking Kyra to his hideout and then returning to the pack to help search for Kyra.

"Do you know where his hideout is, Chelsea?" Cole asked her. 

"It's not far from here. About forty minutes from pack lands," Chelsea said. She'd been crying ever since Malachi had showed up, but Cole didn't have it in him to feel sorry for her. Not anymore. She'd manipulated him enough, and now she was sitting in prison because of it. 

Malachi had Commanded her not to alert Louis of what was happening. The Beta reappeared not long after they'd locked up Chelsea completely unaware of what he was walking into. He stepped into the office and froze when he saw both Cole and Malachi inside, waiting for him. "Um, hi. Where's the Alpha?"

"In prison." Malachi smiled at him. 

"Who are you?" 

"Malachi Remington. Who are you?" 

Louis turned to run out of the room. 

"Don't even think about leaving this room," Kai Commanded him. 

Louis froze. 

"Turn around."

He slowly did, fear evident on his face. 

"Now, would you like to tell me where my daughter is?" Malachi sat down on the desk. 

"Your daughter?" 

"Yeah, the woman you took to your hideout. I'd like to know where that is." Kai crossed his arms. 

Louis paled, then cursed. "Chelsea," he growled. "She didn't tell me she was a Remington. She just told me she had her claws in Cole and to get rid of her."

"Sucks to be manipulated, doesn't it?" Cole said.

"I can take you there, Alpha. She's unharmed. Well, relatively unharmed." Louis ran a hand over his face. 

"Let's go." 

Cole and Malachi followed Louis out of the pack house and around to the back. He headed into the woods, walking along quickly. "It's about a forty minute walk."

"Keep moving, and don't even think about trying to pull anything or running. If you do, I will kill you," Malachi warned him. 

"Yes Alpha." 

Cole?

He almost jumped when her voice sounded in his head. Kyra? Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. Louis kidnapped me. 

It was so good to hear her voice in his head. Yeah I'm aware. I went up to join you in bed and you were gone. Louis is bringing us to you. 

We're headed your way, Cole. I'm glad you're okay. I was worried something might have happened to you. 

I'm good. Cade got dosed with Wolfsbane though. Your father is with me. Who's we?

Um, you're going to be in for a shock. You might want to wait until you see me.
