Landon Silver stood under the spray of water, welcoming the hot shower. He'd gotten showers while he'd been a prisoner, but it was hit or miss on whether or not the water would actually be warm. And after a while, he'd grown so weak, he hadn't been able to take one every day. It had driven him crazy, but there wasn't much he could do about it. Louis hadn't really seemed to care either.

He'd shaved off his long beard and most of his hair, cutting it very short. It wasn't his preferred style, but at the moment, he just needed to feel clean. He'd let it grow back out some, then keep it cut. Maybe some stubble on his face. Not that it really mattered. Landon had been unmated. It annoyed him that he had yet to find his mate and he was already thirty, but now he was about to get a new lease on life. A long lease.

He was looking forward to sleeping for several hours. He was very thankful to Cole's mate, Kyra and what she'd done for him. Her blood was amazing. It had made a huge difference, but it hadn't brought his wolf back. He had a feeling his wolf might be gone forever. He hated to think so, but he hadn't heard from Ryder in over a year. It had made for a lonely year too, not having at least his wolf to keep him company. Louis was gone most of the time, and when he was at the cabin, he'd just beat on Landon.

They flew back the next afternoon, following the execution of Chelsea and Louis. Landon couldn't say he was going to miss Louis. He'd hated him.

Cole and Kyra took him down to see Dr. Ben Gray almost immediately when they arrived at the pack house. The doctor spent a good deal of time examining him and asking questions. Landon answered them the best he could.

"Repeated doses of wolfsbane will make him extremely weak," Ben explained patiently to Cole as he finished making notes.

"I can attest to that," Landon grumbled. "At first, he kept me chained up with silver, but after a while, it wasn't necessary. I wasn't going anywhere."

Ben decided to call the Alpha down, and have Landon inducted into the pack immediately. He hadn't expected that, but Ben had surmised that making Landon immortal would help to get his health back to where it needed to be. "Otherwise, you may never get your wolf back, unfortunately. You've just been exposed much too long, Landon."

He swallowed hard at that, a look of sorrow crossing his face at the thought of never hearing from his wolf again. "Whatever is necessary."

He wasn't thrilled about meeting the Alpha Queen flat on his back, but Kyra's blood could only keep him going for so long, and that was starting to wear off, his weakness that he hated so much returning.

When she walked in, he immediately noticed the similarities between her and Kyra. They looked the same age as well, but Kyra had told him Noelle was her grandmother. They were both beautiful though. He bowed his head to her. "Alpha."

Noelle took one look at him and demanded to know what had happened to him. He'd explained it all to her, along with Kyra and Cole's help.

"I'm inducting you right now then. It should help heal everything up, but you're going to need to get some sleep while your body heals and recovers from all of this." She'd flashed a smile at him, then the doctor had handed her a knife, and the next thing Landon knew, he was a member of Regal Eclipse.

The power surge he'd felt at the induction had shocked him. He already felt stronger too, though tired, and knew he'd be sleeping soon. His gaze moved to the doctor. "Now what?"

"Your body should heal up and your wolf will return. It'll take a bit of time, and some sleep, but when you wake up, you should feel more like yourself. However, you're going to need to get some meat on those bones and I'm going to recommend physical therapy to get you back up to par," Dr. Ben said. "And a meal plan."
