Itachi and Izumi hurriedly jumped from branch to branch in silence.

Of course, there is awkward tension.

Neither knew and decided to strike up a conversation. Instead, they were only concerned with getting to their destination as quickly as possible so that they could complete the mission.

Izumi could not get over the conversation from last night. Was Itachi doubting her abilities because of their history?

Izumi concentrated on getting to the village quickly enough. Their awkwardness was getting them nowhere, and she refused to be treated this way.

However, another side was encouraging her to confess and ask him. Get rid of this grudge and return to their former selves.

They soon arrived at the capital of the Land of Silence. It was big, and the castle was enormous.

Izumi stood on a rooftop, admiring the scenery, but quickly returned to her duties when she realized what they needed to do.

She knew Itachi would never let her go to the cellars alone to finish the mission faster.

"Do you have a plan for rescuing them all?" Izumi asked Itachi quietly.

Itachi hummed in response. "We can sneak down into the cellars and see what we are dealing with. Once completed, we will be able to send a report to Lord Sixth."

Izumi smiled slightly at Itachi's quick thinking. He was a calm man who always thought things through.

"Alright, let's go then," Izumi said. Before she could jump off the building, Itachi grabbed her arm and quickly covered her mouth as they dunked.

"Mmhmhm!" Izumi attempted to fight back against Itachi's strength, but he held her tightly against him while observing their surroundings.

A couple of shinobi were far off in the distance, and they would have been caught if Itachi had not grabbed Izumi in time.

Itachi let go of Izumi, and she turned angry at him. "What the heck was that for!" She exclaimed.

He looked at her sternly. As she stood up, she apologized for her tone.

"Ninja. They are strong; we could probably catch one and gather as much information as possible about the enemy," Itachi said, rising from his position.

"I can put them under Tsukuyomi," he continued as he activated his sharigan.

Izumi raised her eyes to him, concerned. She was aware of the risks associated with Itachi's use of that jutsu, and she did not want him to be hurt as a result. Itachi was the team's only stronger member, and if he were to be weakened, who knows how their battle strength would turn out.

She clenched her fists tightly, trying to think of another plan that did not involve such jutsu. But he was correct; the Tsukuyomi would be able to weaken the enemy while also gathering more information from him.

Her eyes widened as she considered another strategy. "Following him. Once we do, we can apprehend him, and I will have him under my control!" Izumi exclaimed.

Itachi looked at her, amused. The plan might have worked, but not in the way Itachi had hoped.

"There is no time to argue over what will work. I have already ran the simulations in my head. "We have to try!" Izumi spoke confidently.

He gave her a smirk.

Izumi has changed dramatically since he first met her. She was always determined and confident in her ability to catch up with him, and now she is closer than ever.

Itachi chuckled, "Okay, let us go," he said as they vanished from the rooftop.

This was their first time fighting one on one in a mission with each other.

Despite being unaware of each other's strength, they remain confident that they will complete the mission with no major casualties among the people.

That is how much they trust one another. To the point where they are willing to risk their lives.
