Chapter 7, Part 2

Only a few were wounded as she dodged them to the best of her ability.

"Argh!" Izumi exclaimed as a kunai stabbed her side. She grabbed her kunai and defended herself against the others.

Doing various types of flips and falling low to avoid them all, the amount gradually decreased until there was no more.

Izumi finally fell to the ground, panting, and glared at Ayame.

"H-How? How is she escaping death!" Izumi pondered as she attempted to gather herself and breathe normally.

Ayame looked at Izumi with amusement. "Wow, you dodged them all! I must say that you are a truly worthy opponent. But not worthy enough, block this!" Ayame shouted as she performed another lighting-style jutsu.

Multiple shuriken were launched at Izumi. Her eyes widened from the amount, and they were all filled with light chakra.

As Izumi activated her sharigan again, she was able to escape and defend herself.

A few scratches irritate her skin, electrifying her only slightly.

When they all fell, Izumi collapsed to the ground as lightning took over her body once more.

"What, but-," Izumi muttered as the lighting continued to irritate her nerves.

She could not fight it; it was too strong, and she felt like she was going to pass out soon.

Ayame approached Izumi with hands behind her back. She had an evil grin on her face as she watched Izumi suffer from her jutsu.

"Unfortunate, especially since you had so much potential. But do not worry; I will make sure your death is pleasant and peaceful-" Ayame's eyes widened when she felt herself being stabbed from behind.

The person in front of her vanished, and she remembered everything. "S-Shadow clone? S-Since when!?" Ayame inquired as blood began to flow from her mouth.

"Since your second encounter, going back in time..." Izumi stated as she pushed the kunai deeper into her and took steps backward as she watched Ayame fall to the ground.

Her eyes widened.

Ayame was using all of the power of her sacrifices to go back in time and rewrite the situation in her favor!

If it had not been for Izumi's shadow clone hiding during the first encounter, he would not have had this opportunity.

"Rewriting the past and future to gain an advantage over your opponent. Something only the Hoshigan can do, but I am assuming you are also pushing your limits when you use such a skill. I am wondering how much damage has already been done to you!" Izumi exclaimed as Ayame became increasingly agitated by the situation.

A chuckle escaped her mouth as she took a step back and quickly defended herself. Given her knowledge of the past, present, and future, anything this woman says can scare her.

"You are right! All of those sacrifices were to improve my ability and allow me to use it indefinitely! That ability has taken its toll on my body, but I will continue to use it, even if it means defeating people like you!" She exclaimed as she stood up and released a massive amount of chakra.

Her final Hoshigan phase was now active, and her eyes had turned purple with stars reflecting it.

Ayame herself has undergone a transformation, with longer hair and lighting surrounding her.

Furthermore, her physical abilities have improved, and her vision has never been clearer.

She dashed to Izumi and kicked her.

Izumi took flight but eventually landed. Izumi attempted to fight Ayame with her maximum speed and ridiculously powerful attacks.

However, it was too much for her at this time. How do you defeat a villain who knows your every move!?

Something else about Ayame suddenly appeared to be different.

Her arms had five marks, plus an extra one. One, which was fading.

Izumi quickly came up with a theory and needed to confirm its feasibility.

She grabbed a scroll and opened it, releasing hundreds of weapons that shot toward Ayame.

After being hit, she fell, and another of her appeared at her side, kicking her into another wall.

Izumi groaned before returning her gaze to her arm. Five marks!

Her eyes widened; she had finally discovered a way to defeat Ayame, even in this state!

One that could possibly lead to her death.
