Chapter 6, Part 2

All of the guards trembled before her and fled as her susanoo's arm attacked them.

Izumi coughed up blood and fell to the floor as the susanoo vanished. Using it depleted all of her remaining chakra, and all of the injured were in critical condition unless she acted quickly.

The room in front of them was about to collapse, and she was exhausted from using her damned jutsu to save them all.

"E-Everyone! Please, get out of here now! This room is no longer secure and will collapse before we know it! If you can transport any injured people, please get them to safety!" Izumi managed to escape after someone apprehended her and attempted to free her.

When a few guards approached, Izumi was forced to fight them all off to give them enough time to escape. "Go, I will hold them off!" she said with a serious expression.

The woman who had been assisting her earlier nodded nervously and went to help the injured. Izumi punched every guard with all of her strength before collapsing in front of them after being kicked in the back. She turned to face the door and watched everyone exit. She panted as she looked up to see the other guards arrive.

She dashed towards the door, ignoring everything that lay before her. Tripping, she fell to the floor but quickly got up as something nearly fell on her.

Her arm was scratched and bruised everywhere. Even when she was beaten by the cruel guards yesterday, she used all of her strength to protect these people.

As soon as she passed through the door, a piece of the ceiling blocked it. Izumi collapsed to the floor, breathing heavily, and all of the women helped her. The children hid in the corner, hugging one another.

She looked around and saw a large group. "I-Is this...everyone?" Izumi inquired as they assisted her by positioning her against the wall.

All of them nodded. "Yeah, we are still not sure if there are any other cellars. But I am sure we are the only ones..." someone said, smiling gently. A tear fell from her eyes, which she quickly wiped away.

Izumi smiled at her and said, "Do not cry now; this battle is not over..." Izumi exhaled.

He stabbed the final guard, then took a deep breath as he stood speechless. The number of guards that came into that hallway was unimaginable. If only that floor had that much, how much did the cellars contain?

Itachi had no time to waste; he needed to catch up with Sakura and save both Izumi and the victims.

He ran down the hall. Sakura went along the path of destroyed floors and defeated guards. Hearing loud battle sounds, he turned the hallway and saw Naruto and his clones fighting off more enemies. Naruto saw him and his eyes widened: "Itachi, go that way! "I will hold this group!" he exclaimed, wielding his rasenshuriken.

Itachi nodded and immediately went down the opposite hallway as instructed.

"Izumi, I will save you!" he thought to himself as he charged any remaining guards.

When he came across stairs, he hurried down them before coming to a halt when he spotted his new enemy, Kuro.

Without thinking, he charged at him with a kunai, attempting to stab him before being dodged and thrown to the ground by a powerful kick.

He groaned in pain and was kicked to the wall right after. Itachi exhaled heavily during his powerful kicks and stood up, wiping the sweat from his brow.

Kuro looked at him with furrowed brows and a trembling body. Most importantly, the right palm was bandaged. Itachi studied him, trying to figure out what was going on with him. In a recent battle, appears stressed and frustrated about something.

"Y-Your damned girlfriend!" Kuro yelled as he showed him his bandaged palm in rage.

Itachi's eyes widened upon hearing the statement. Girlfriend? Izumi? "What? What are you rambling about?" Itachi inquired, hoping to confirm that he was referring to Izumi.

"Izumi Uchiha, that half-blooded freak! She did it, she released all of Lady Ayame's sacrifices, and now she is angrier than ever before!" Itachi clenched his fists as he spoke.

Kuro panted in rage, "That stupid bitch, she is lucky that Lady Ayame has not found her yet! But you, as well as your reinforcements, are simply impeding progress! Is not one of them Naruto Uzumaki, aka the Nine Tails? We could really use a weakling and monster like him to supplement our expertise, but this is just ridiculous! To think you could infiltrate us!"

He looked at him with gritted teeth and a disheveled appearance. Itachi's expression was absolutely terrifying. His sharigan was activated, and his overall aura appeared dark and ominous.

Kuro laughed, "Oh, that Izumi Uchiha..."If only I had acted faster and killed her-" Itachi threw Kuro to the ground as he used all of his chakra and strength to try and cut through him.

"Do not ever insult Izumi or any of my friends in that manner, you weakling!" Itachi exclaimed as the hallway descended into ruins.
