Izumi cried as the punch landed on her face once more.

She collapsed to the floor. Gasping and coughing. As she tried to regain her composure, blood dripped from her mouth.

"Get up, Uchiha... " The guard said coldly, sitting across from her.

Her hands were chained, but she could still move freely throughout the room. Her eyes were veiled with a cloth. No matter how hard she tried, she could not escape.

The chains were special. Handcrafted by an intelligent ninja who understands the way of chakra and how to secure it.

Even if she tried to use any jutsu, it would be ineffective and hopeless. There was no way out.

Her body remained motionless on the floor until a guard entered. He grabbed her by the hair and forced her to her knees.

She squirmed from his grip and the pain he caused her. However, she chose to ignore it.

"I've always wanted a Uchiha as my prisoner. I am disappointed now that I have one, especially a beautiful one. You are not a true heir; you are only a half-blood. And nothing disgusts me more than a half-blood." A slap on her face caused her to yelp due to the sudden movement.

The guard moved away from her and instructed the guards to lower her to the floor. "You will rot in here for the rest of your life now. Someone like you should have been killed years ago by the clan's murderer, Itachi Uchiha," he said coldly.

Izumi could hear the gates closing. When they did, she slowly stood up and fell against the wall for support. Then she slowly found her bed and fell into it, moaning from the pain.

Tears fell from her eyes. "Half-blood," she said through her cries.

That was who she was. A half-blood who did not deserve the Uchiha moniker. All of the Uchiha elders referred to her as such, and they wished she and her mother had never been returned to the district.

If it had not been for her uncle, she would not be where she is today.

But was it wrong to wish for death instead? To have rotted on the streets and never been welcomed back into her clan.

If she had not been, she would not have been given the name she did.

A monster, half-blood, traitor to the clan, disgrace, dishonored. All the names she could think of that would never bring her any honor. That is what she thinks when someone asks her what she is been called.

However, the one that hurt her the most was always 'half-blood.'

It was perfect for her, and it exemplified who she was. Not only that, but it was the only nickname her clan knew her by.

Nonetheless, they would always disrespect and hurt her with it.

However, everything changed for Izumi that day. It was him, Itachi. The young raven belonged to the head family of the Uchiha clan, who had accepted her. Never called her by what the others had.

Maybe this is why she fell in love with him. Not only by his appearance but also by how he looked at her. Even though she was only half-blooded, he made her feel like she belonged to the clan.

She will never forget the day on how they had fully spoken. The attack by the Nine Tails on Konoha.
