Chapter 4, Part 2

The shadows burned before them all.

Naomi stared at them blankly, trying to figure out what had happened.

"Black flames... the Amaterasu. It is truly my lucky day if I get to see it," Kazuki said with a smile. Naomi glared at Itachi with contempt.

She gritted her teeth in anger. "I never imagined he would be this powerful!" Naomi thought with narrowed eyes.

Itachi panted from the jutsu. He always preferred not to use it, but he had no choice. Using his susanoo would have also exhausted him, especially after he used it earlier to defeat all of his other enemies. Not very bright of him.

"However, it appears to have some side effects. Look at how tired you look! You are bleeding out of one eye!" Kazuki chuckled.

He was right. Itachi experienced side effects from using amaterasu, and he was exhausted after only one use. He was not like Sasuke, who could keep using it until he ran out of chakra. It was different for him, and he despised himself because of it.

Itachi stood up and stared blankly.

Kazuki was the first to make a move, while they were both waiting for the other to do so.

Itachi charged forward and continued to block all of his kicks and punches.

Naomi appeared to be still processing the removal of her shadows. Was she unable to produce anymore? With that jutsu, she should be able to create more.

Itachi's eyes widened as he saw the shadows from before rise up.

"Attack!" Naomi shouted. They all ran for Itachi after she pointed with her finger.

He retreated when he realized her ability and how it works.

Those twins do not have any connected jutsu. They were fighting as a diversion!

Izumi dodged each of the light shards that flew down to the ground.

They were like crystals that stayed there-except they blind you.

A crystal fell in front of Izumi, blinding her and causing Yuki to kick her against a wall.

She groaned with pain. Izumi was struggling with her battle. These ninjas were very different.

Kan has a light style, while Yuki can use fire style. Yuki laughed as she made hand signs for a fire style jutsu. "Fire style: Phoenix!" she exclaimed.

Yuki expelled massive amounts of fire from his mouth before transforming into a phoenix. Izumi trembled from the size of it.

"That is enormous! It could be a problem for me... But all I have to do is put her under genjutsu!" Izumi thought confidently.

She let out a gasp as it charged towards her, releasing fire. Izumi dashed out of the way and gestured for a fireball.

A giant fireball emerged from her mouth. Once it was big enough, she hid behind a boulder to be unnoticed.

All of the previous shards of light began to fade in comparison to its glow, allowing Izumi to see where she was going more clearly. She looked in Kan's direction and saw him make another hand sign.

"Lighting style: thunderous clap." Kan said with a cold tone.

A large ball of thunder formed above Kan's head and started charging all over the room.

Yuki dodged one before it hit her and moved closer to Izumi with the phoenix.

Izumi stayed hidden while she devised a strategy.

"Were these the enemies Team Eight encountered when they arrived?" Izumi thought as she took a scroll from her pouch.

When she emerged from her hiding place, she opened the scroll, releasing a slew of kunai and shuriken that charged towards Yuki and Kan.

"Do not make me laugh!" Yuki exclaimed as she dodged them all. "Hah, I wish I did," Izumi whispered to Yuki.

Yuki's eyes widened as she watched Izumi's sharigan perform a genjutsu on her.

She did not notice her chakra getting closer. Izumi used the kunai and shuriken as a diversion, allowing her to dodge and sneak up from behind her.

"So that one... is a shadow clone!?" Yuki pondered as the shadow clone dissolved into white smoke.

Yuki fell backward, and the fire phoenix vanished as well. She was now subjected to a genjutsu that she would find difficult to overcome.

Izumi turned to Kan, who only focused his chakra on her. "I will not lose to you! You are returning with me to Lord Kuro!" Kan exclaimed.

She gasped as she saw a fast and massive bolt of lightning approach her. She did not have time to dodge, and she did not know how to dodge in time.

No, she was not giving up. Not now.

When Izumi activated her mangekyo sharigan, a dark purple susanoo emerged.
