LILITH
"Hello, miss." The lady with cherry red hair said as she extended her had.
"Oh hello. I'm Lilith." I said back and shook her hand. I didn't know that I was going to be greeted like this with such enthusiasm.
Was it because of my last name?
I sighed up for cooking classes last week before the whole event happened and I was finally able to attend today. I was excited to learn how to cook. It was one of my dreams.
Back home with all the chefs and everything, I was not expected to do anything. Everything was delivered to me on a silver platter.
But in the future if by some miracle I actually have kids, I want to be able to make their food by myself. And I wanted to learn for me as well.
Cooking was a basic skill anyway.
"Nice to meet you I'm Sasha. We are happy to have you here." She began to talk and I followed her inside. Knox was going to waiting for me by the car. The cooking class was going to be two hours long and I felt bad that he was just going to stand there but he reassured me that he was going to be fine.
When I told Lucian that I was going to attend the classes, he just nodded his head and didn't say anything.
He has been slightly less annoying which was weird. He was usually the one to say something stupid but this morning he was just quiet.
When I woke up he was home but left immediately after I arrived in the kitchen to have breakfast.
And in what right mind did I ask him to stay in my room till I fall asleep? Thankfully he was not in my room anymore when I woke up. What was I going to say anyway?
I shouldn't have asked him to stay.
When I entered the big room, I was immediately met with a group of people. They were all talking amongst themselves and it looked like they all knew each other.
I guess I'll be an outcast for a while, until I get to know them.
Some of them greeted me and then I was given an apron and washed my hands with the rest of the attendants.
There were couple of people dressed in chef's uniforms and it seemed that Sasha was just a manager because she left as soon as the class started.
I tied the apron around me and smile stretched across my face.
"Today we'll be in pairs. Find yourself a partner." One of the chefs said and started handing out papers with the recipes on them.
I looked around as everyone began to line themselves with their partners. I guess they all really knew each other.
"Hi." I turned around and looked up at the man who was talking to me. The sharp pain in my ankle pierced through my leg again and I tried not to show the pain on my face. It was occasionally that I felt it. Not the whole time. It will probably just go away.
"Hello." I said back.
"I think we are the only people left."
"Yeah I think so too." He smiled at me and asked me to be his partner. He looked to be in his early thirties and had a brown hair that was tied in a man bun. He was slightly bulky and had tattoos all over his arms.
We began to read the recipe and my eyebrows creased in confusion. I didn't expect the recipe to be this complicated.
We were going to make gnocchi from scratch and also a tomato sauce for them. On the picture they looked easy to be made but I think it will be far from that.
