LUCIAN
Sloane and Dad greeted me at the front door. Her arms wrapped around me for a quick second. Dad just tapped my back before they started walking over to the living room.
They invited me for dinner and I didn't have any other choice but to say yes.
Dad said that he had something important to talk about with me.
"What did you want to talk about?" I asked Dad while I marched next to him.
"About the shipment that needs to be sent out next week." I nodded my head. Sebastian wasn't too involved in anything really. He just enjoyed the money and the respect of other people our family earned.
When we made it to the living room, I took off my suit jacket and sat down on the sofa.
I have lived in this house since I was a baby but after moving away on my own, I realized how much I hated being here.
It was suffocating.
Shoes clacking on the floor made me turn my head to my left side.
It was Sebastian. He was making his way over to us, running a hand over his face. Why did he look like he just woke up?
He probably did. It's not like he was not spending his nights at clubs and casinos.
"Lucian, you visited us. Did you finally remember you have a family?" He slumped down on the armchair. His hair disheveled and his shirt wrinkled.
"Hello to you too, Sebastian." I almost rolled my eyes at his comment. It's not like he knew when I was visiting when he was rarely home.
Sloane and dad thought he might change after marriage but he was still the same lazy and cocky asshole.
"Where is Lilith?" Sloane pointed the question at Sebastian.
"How should I know where she is." He waved at the maid to bring him a glass of water.
He was probably even hungover. From the way he was behaving that was probably what was up with him. No wonder why dad and Sloane were constantly stressed.
It showed it on their faces. They looked tired.
But it's not like they couldn't do anything about it. They shouldn't let him have this much freedom. It was getting out of hand.
"I'm here." A soft feminine voice spoke from behind me. Heels tapped on the marble floor and soon Lilith appeared in the living room as well.
She was dressed in a grey pencil skirt with a white silk blouse on top. Her hair was straightened and down, covering the side of her face where she had the scars.
Very politely she apologised for something she shouldn't and sat down on the other armchair next to Sebastian.
Her eyes stayed on her lap and she was deep in thought. Her glasses were making a barrier and making me wish she hadn't worn them. I wanted to see the emotions in her eyes.
Her lips were painted in a light shade of pink. It perfectly matched her. There was a thin necklace on her delicate neck, disappearing into her blouse. Her hair had a unique color. A hair color I have never seen before.
The sounds of my dad's voice and Sloane's made me realize that I was staring at her like a creep.
I cleared my throat and averted my gaze away.
