LILITH
"He is so stupid. It's better for you guys that he's rarely home and that he doesn't really stay here in the living room. He would have probably accidentally ripped some of your leaves." I ran my fingers gently over the plant and then poured some water on its soil.
It has been a week since I bought them and they were already blooming and looked more lively than when I got them here.
"Who even lives without plants in their houses?" I murmured again and then walked over to the Calathea.
I sat down beside it and carefully cleaned the leaves with a soft tissue.
The sun was peaking through the clouds and it was laying its warmth on my babies over here.
Even back home when I was still with my parents, my room was filled with plants and flowers. They were by the window, on my desk, on my shelves and few small ones on my nightstand.
When I bought these ones, I didn't even look at the prices. Lucian shouldn't have given me his card if he didn't want me spending money.
"And he's rude. He never smiles. He only glares like he would kill you any moment." I placed the tissue on the floor next to me and watered this plant as well.
I had proximately eight of them in the living room. Four in the kitchen and two in my own bedroom.
"Do you know that I searched for cooking classes online? There are few in the city. You can go there and learn everything you want about cooking. Lucian wouldn't let me do anything in the kitchen. Stupid rat." I continue to talk while I watered every single one of them.
Filipa seemed surprised yet pleased with the way the room looked now.
She said that the house was more lively since I moved here.
I even asked her about the room with the rose but she said that she didn't know what was inside. Apparently she never went in because it's strictly prohibited.
What could it be inside?
Is it a torture room? I wouldn't be surprised to be honest.
He does look like a sadistic person.
I'll found out eventually. If he doesn't let me inside, I'll find a way. I wasn't particularly a noisy person but that fact that no one was allowed inside made me want to enter it.
Okay maybe I was a little bit noisy.
I gathered all the tissues and then grabbed the bucket that was now empty. I straightened up from the sitting position and turned around.
"Ahh!!" A scream left my lips when I saw Lucian behind me.
The things I had in my hands almost felt down and I cursed under my breath.
"What is wrong with you? Why did you sneak up behind me like that?" He looked unbothered with his hair lazily pushed back. His light grey shirt was basically glued to his body, imprinting every single one of the muscles on his stomach and arms. I hated him so much.
The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and the first few buttons opened.
The thin chain on his neck falling over his collarbone.
"Were you talking to the plants?" He mockingly asked, his eyebrows raising up. He was making fun of me. His eyes ran over my outfit for the quickest second.
I had a short stretchy baby-blue dress that reached mid thigh and had long sleeves. My legs were covered with knee high white socks and I had slippers with sheep heads on the front.
