My period was late.

What the heck?

My period has never been late before. It was always regular and my app was proof of that. Wherever I got a notification for the day my period was supposed to start, it really did.

I placed a hand over my forehead and paced the bathroom while looking at my phone.

It was barely 5 am.

I have been feeling sick since last night but I thought it was going to go away. We have been here for three days and yesterday we spent the whole day at the beach so I thought that I felt sick because of that.

Nope, definitely not.

I assured Lucian that I was completely fine but this morning when I woke up, I ran straight to the bathroom to empty my stomach.

The disgusting taste was still in my mind but I was still shaken by the thought of my period being late.

Was there a possibility that I was pregnant?

I shook my head with a laugh.

What the fuck was happening?

Did I really just get pregnant from my very first time of having sex?

Wow, just wow.

We didn't use protection though.

I really was stupid. Lucian was stupid. What were we thinking?

"Oh my God..." I whispered to myself and placed the phone on the vanity.

I had to buy a pregnancy test but how was I supposed to do that without telling Lucian?

My eyes went to the mirror and then immediately to my stomach. This was crazy.

A laugh bubbled in my chest and I covered my face with my hands. My face was burning. After I gathered myself, I turned the side and ran my palm over my stomach.

I was still in my crop top and shorts. My stomach had always been somehow flat and now it was going to be round with our baby inside.

Before Lucian woke up, I had to figure out how to buy a pregnancy test.

Because the mornings were chilly, I grabbed the bathrobe and threw it over my body.

There were guards outside of the house. I'm sure one of them can go and buy one for me.

I took my phone as well and exited the bathroom. I tiptoed to the entrance door and quietly opened it.

I stepped out and two guards immediately ran over to me.

"Everything okay Mrs.?" One of them asked, worry layered over his face.

Both of them were dressed in their uniform suits which consisted of black shirts, black pants, and jackets. I felt bad for them because they had to walk around like that in this heart here during the day.

The one who spoke had short hair that was bleached and had a piercing on one of his eyebrows. His eyes were dark, almost black. He had tattoos on the side of his neck and one under his eye.

The other one was the complete opposite with a dark longish hair that curled at the nape of his neck. He had no visible tattoos but his very blue eyes were for sure drawing people's attention the most.

"Umm,... can one of you go and buy me two pregnancy tests?" I smiled hesitantly and tightened the robe around me.

They both looked at each other and the blonde one nodded his head after a few seconds. Probably wondering why I was asking them to buy me such a product at this time of the day. So early in the morning.
