LILITH

"Lili?!" Mom spoke as soon as she saw me in front of the door. She looked surprised. I didn't tell them that I was going to visit. I wanted to surprise them and I guess it worked.

I smiled at her and stepped inside the house.

Lucian's hand was on my back and he followed after me.

I extended my arms and hugged her. Mom's hands wrapped around my body as well and I relaxed in her hold.

I missed her.

We haven't seen each other in a while. They didn't attend the wedding nor Sebastian's funeral. But we lived pretty far away so I understand that they couldn't, also with dad's work it was probably hard for them to do so.

I heard a sound of shoes on the marble floor echo around the hallway. It was dad.

"Lilith." He spoke and I went to give him a quick hug as well.

Lucian greeted them after me and retreated his hand on the small of my back.

"We were not expecting you here today." Mom spoke and smiled sweetly as she welcomed us in the living room. "I'm glad you came."

When we fully entered the living room, I spotted William as well. Mom did mention that he was going to visit them with his girlfriend but I didn't know that I was going to see him today.

"Will." I made my way to him and hugged him quickly as I did to dad. He tapped my back stiffly and sat back on the couch. The girl next to him extended her hand and grinned at me.

"Stephanie." She introduced herself. She had a strawberry blond hair that was tied in a slick ponytail. The dress she had on was in a dark red colour and complimented her flattering figure. She was slightly taller than me and seemed like a sweet girl.

"I'm Lilith, Will's little sister."

"It's really nice to meet you." I retreated back to Lucian and we all sat down.

The tension in the room was suffocating and it made me feel slightly uncomfortable.

Maybe it was because of the fact that Lucian was with me or maybe it was because they were also meeting Will's girlfriend for the first time.

I knew that dad didn't like Lucian as much but had to respect him because of his father. He now had to be more friendly with him because of our marriage.

The maid came in and brought us drinks while the silence was still very much present.

"How was your flight?" Mom finally spoke and I turned to her.

"Good. We're little tired but it was good." She nodded and sipped on her black coffee.

I noticed Will stare at us with boredom. We've never had a good relationship as siblings but at least I thought he would be happy to see me.

Stephanie was tucked to his side while he had his hand around her. She was smiling the whole time and I just hoped that he was treating her well. It seemed like she was not from any of the families which made me worry how she was going to get use to all of this.

"We should go to the dinning room. The dinner is ready." Mom said quickly and stood up. "And you two probably want to go to bed earlier as you said you are tired."

We followed behind her and made our way to eat dinner.

I didn't think of this at all.

Lucian and I were going to share a bedroom. We had to share a bed.

I couldn't just tell my parents that I want a separate room. Now, I was stuck with Lucian for the night. Well for couple of nights til we go back home.
