[Tuesday, 10:40 a.m.]

"[Y/N]! FUCK FUCK SHIT SHIT!" Hange rolled over on Levi's bed and started to shake [Y/N] out of her sleep.

"Hange.. 5 more minutes.. I wasn't having any naughty dreams, I swear.." [Y/N] grumbled, her face slightly squashed into a pillow.

"Oh, I couldn't care less if you were having wet dreams about Levi, Zeke, myself, or getting railed by all 3 of us! WE DIDN'T HEAR THE ALARM [Y/N]! We both missed our morning classes!"

[Y/N] shot up in an instant.
"What time is it?!"

"10:41.."

"Ah fuck.." [Y/N] sunk back into the pillow and pulled the covers over her head. "It's already too late. What's the point.."

"Well, I need to go see Professor Smith. He's going to be pissed I didn't show up!" Hange rushed to get her shoes on, grabbed her belongings, and ran out of the room at full speed.

God, that bitch is a chaotic mess.. but it's okay. She's my chaotic mess of a best friend. [Y/N] thought as she heard Hange slam the door behind her. She slowly uncovered her head from below the covers and sighed deeply. It was now the 1st week of November, and she was instantly hit with a crisp rush of air. It didn't really bother her. It was really refreshing.

She turned over, grabbed her phone on the nightstand, and noticed she had a missed call and a few unread messages. She sat up slightly and wiped the sleep out of her eyes. "Zeke.." [Y/N] whispered to herself and shook her head. After everything she heard last night between Dr. Jaeger and her father, she wasn't sure what to think of Zeke. Did they really plan for Zeke to date her for her own protection? Protection from what? ..was still the ongoing question. She was starting to think she'd never find out the answer.

They've been friends since they were children. Actually.. come to think of it.. Zeke was the only child [Y/N] was even allowed to be friends with when she was younger. Did that mean everything Zeke has said to her over the years had been a lie? Did he ever truly care about her? Did he really just throw the word 'love' around with her because it was a part of some plan their fathers created? There was still so much she didn't understand about all of this, and her head was starting to ache just thinking about it.

In the back of her mind, she couldn't help but think how everything seemed so damn simple until Levi showed up in the picture. To think Levi had been a missing piece to this whole puzzle just didn't sit right with her, though. If what she overheard was true, then clearly Levi wouldn't have had anything to do with any of this. Especially the things that have been occurring since her childhood. Still.. it all seemed extremely strange to her.

It was at that moment she remembered something Dr. Jaeger had said to her father last night. Something about keeping her away from Ackerman's. I've heard that name before.. but where? Why did I have to stay away from them? Wait.. I remember now. That's Mikasa's..

[Y/N] was shaken from her thoughts when her cell phone rang. She looked down at the photo of her and Zeke that popped up on the screen. They had taken that photo over the summer at a carnival on campus. They were both sticking their tongues out. They were happy. Life seemed great at that time.. but things were different now. She didn't want to answer, but she needed to. Of course, she knew she had to keep quiet about the information she had obtained last night, and that killed her. Oh, how she wished she could approach him about it, but she knew she needed to be patient. What's done in the dark will surely come to light. At least she hoped that was the case.

"Hey.." [Y/N] answered the phone softly but direct.

"Hey, Angelface.." Zeke's voice had an unusual tone to it, and [Y/N] picked up on it immediately. "..I feel like we haven't spoken in days."
