It was My birthday Eve, which means more shopping for me.

I walked out of the Church, and put my sunglasses on, as I saw a matte-black limo pull up aside me.

"Well this was the last place I'd expect to find you!" A familiar voice spoke as the window rolled down.

"Go away Chuck! I've been given orders from practically god himself to avoid u." I took my sunglasses off.

"Would u consider avoiding me over breakfast?" He asked, with a smirk on his face.

"Sorry, but as is tradition on the day before my birthday, I'm heading to the jewellers to put some pieces on hold for Eleanor, and-.."

"Nate? I don't think he'll be singing happy birthday this year."

"No one knows that Nate and I broke up. It's gonna stay that way so I can fix this." I ordered,
"I don't think your best friend will  still be your best friend if he knew. From this moment on, the masquerade will never be mentioned again, is that clear?" I asked.

"Well I'll see u at your party tonight."

"You're uninvited." I scoffed and walked away.

Speak of the devil, and he doth appear wearing his trademark scarf, careful E, mr bass might get angry that he lost his invite.

It was the night of my party, me and Serena walked into Kati's brother's apartment, which was decorated with Led lights and balloons.

"Hey!!" Serena dragged me over to Blair, Is and Kati.

"Happy birthday!!" They all said in sync.

"Oh my god! Kati, your brother's place is fabulous."

"I know it's incredible!!" I added.

"Well, E I want sushi, you coming?" She brought me over to the sushi bar where there were hired chefs, with delicious sushi.

"Hey, so where's Nate?" Serena asked as we both sat down.

"I'm sure he'll be here soon! What about Dan?"

"Oh, um, he said he's coming, but I haven't talked to him since this morning." She smiled as she took a sip of her champagne.

"Well? You bet check in on him! Make sure the best friend hasn't whisked him away to do some friendly activity." I laughed.

"Oh, there's Chuck. I bet he knows where Nate is!" Serena pointed out, as I turned around, and saw Chuck alone.

"Actually, I think Nate probably snuck in while we were dancing!" I stood up front my seat and wondered off, and Chuck followed me onto the balcony, that shown the view of New York's lit up buildings.

"You ready for your present?" I grabbed his head and put him in a headlock, "ow! If you wanted to play rough all you had to do was ask."

"Hey, Blair!" A random girl smiled as she walked past the scene.

"Hi! Hello there, happy birthday to me!" I sighed and looked back at the view, " you nauseate me."

"All this talk about how you have to be with Nate or the world will end. Face it. It's over." Chuck scoffed.

"You sound like a jealous boyfriend." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah right, you wish."

I giggled, then stopped, "no, you wish."

"Please, forget who you're talking to."

"So do you. Do you like me?" I asked.

"Define like." Chuck stated which made me scoff.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding! I do not believe this." I turned away from his face and took a deep sigh.

"How do you think I feel?" He asked, "I haven't slept, I feel sick. Like there's something in my stomach fluttering."

"Butterflies?" I added, " oh no,no,no. This is not happening."

" believe me, no one is more surprised or ashamed than I am."

"Chuck, you know that I adore all of gods creatures, and the metaphors they inspire, but those butterflies... they've got to be murdered." I smiled.

"Fine, it wasn't that great anyway."
