Seventeen candles

I walked back inside, and opened a few of my presents I had received.

"Dan you're here!! And you brought Vanessa.. hey!" Serena smiled, and she waved, "Kati, is, you've met Dan, and Ella, this is Dans friend, Vanessa." I walked over to Serena and waved.

"Wow, you didn't tell me they were so nice.. now I get it!" Vanessa whispered to Dan.

"Oh sweetie, you did not tell me she looked like... that." I whispered as I leant on Serena's shoulder so no one else could hear me, "this is such a problem."

The night went fast, and it was time for cake.

" Twelve-o- one.. I'm sorry." Chuck sighed, since no call from Nate.

"Now you're smarmy. There's a difference. If you're coming to collect, you can forget it."

"Turn around." Chuck stated.

"You get grosser by the second.." I sighed until he pointed at the cake Serena brought over, and everyone sung happy birthday.

"Haha! Come on, blow out your candles!" Serena giggled, "make a wish girls!!" She made room for Blair to come in too.

I stared down at the cake, "it already didn't come true." I turned around and walked away into one of the bedrooms."

Happy birthday to who? Forget cake and ice cream, I'm saving room for just desserts.

Looks like chucks wish might come true."

"I can't believe gossip girl would do-.." voices spoke as I walked up to Serena. She knew something was wrong.

"E.. hey, I'm so sorry. I never thought that this would happen."

"I hope the slut gave him herpes. A cheater deserves herpes." Kati scoffed.

"He isn't cheating!" The room went silent. "We broke up, okay? He was gonna get back together with me, but only so my mom would help his dad. You satisfied?" I turned around and walked away before any tears burst out.

"Ella.." Blair and Serena both said in sync, following my footsteps to my next location.

"Ella stop!! You can talk to us!" Serena said as I turned around, with my hazel eyes full of deja-vu.

"We ended it..." I cried, " I wanted to tell you,, but that part of me thought that if I didn't say it out loud, that it wouldn't be true." I sobbed as she comforted me.

"Shh.." Blair joined in on the group hug Serena had started.

"It was my birthday wish for us to get back together.. but now I think it's really over." I pulled away from the hug, as I put my hand on my heart, and panted quicker and quicker as my heart pumped out of my chest. 
"Is it okay if I just wanna be alone for a second?" I asked, as I turned around and walked into the restroom.

I let it all out. All my emotions came flooding out of me, and there was nothing I could do to  stop it. All of them happy memories, and when Nate brought my true smile back, came flowing into my mind, and I just wanted to forget. It was too much. Too much to handle. On my birthday as well ?? Can things get any worse..?

After all the crying, I had on the couch in the private room, until the door opened and revealed Chuck.

"I'm not in the mood Chuck. This is pretty much the worst birthday ever." I sat up.

"Maybe it could be salvaged." He walked towards me
and opened a plain black box, revealing a stunning diamond necklace inside.

"It's the Erickson Beamon necklace.." I gasped as he took it out of the case and offered to place it round my neck. "No, I can't." I stopped him.

"Yes,you can."  I looked in the mirror as I wore the necklace, acknowledging how it's one of my dream gifts, "something this beautiful deserved to be seen on someone worthy of its Beauty. I really am sorry.."

Guess chucks the gift for E that keeps on giving.
