It was the morning of thanksgiving, the day after mine and Blair's birthday.

The whole family was preparing the house for our traditional thanksgiving dinner, and this year, our dad came down to visit from Paris.

"I have to find the recipe before my dad gets here!!" I said to Serena with a huge grin on my face.

"Harold Waldorf famous pumpkin pie!" She folded up napkins.

" well it may have been Bobby Flays.. but didn't stop my dad from taking credit for it." We both laughed.

"Look at you! Quite the chipper sous-chef!" Blair added.

"Well! I'm in a good mood! It happens. Sometimes I increase my lexapro, sometimes my dad's in town."

"And sometimes mostly because things are good with a boy." Serena filled me in on the missing subject I forgot to add.

"Since gossip girl published pictures of him and some skank?" I gave her the 'look'.

"I'll take that as a no.. what's Chuck doing today?" Serena bombarded me with questions.

"Why are you asked me?" I asked.

"Because you're friends? And, Ella, look, you know you can tell me anything, I'd be the last person to judge anyone." Yeah, I get it, she's there for me. But she doesn't have to keep reminding me, does she?

"With good reason." I added.

"Ella, I saw you with Chuck." I turned away and rolled my eyes.

"I don't know what I was thinking!!" I sighed, "sleeping with him once you could understand, but twice?"

"Wait you slept with him??!" Her voice raised louder as the room fell silent.

"Shh!! What happened to no judging??" I scoffed.

"I'm not, but I thought you wanted to wait, to make things special."

"Oh so Nate gets the free pass and now I'm the slut?"

"Tell me, you didn't sleep with Chuck for revenge.." she closed her eyes as she waited for an answer.

"Well, it wasn't because I like his natural musk. And besides, nothing hurts more than sleeping with the best friend, right S?"

"Way to prove a point." She stood up, and I stood up too.

"Well I learned from the master."

"If you're sleeping with Chuck, the student becomes the master." She picked up her bag.

"Are you jealous that you didn't get to sleep with him first??" I chuckled, "there had to be somebody left on the Upper East Side."

"Ella, darling, are you going to help me at all??" My mother walked into the kitchen, right place, wrong time, "Serena, do you know when your mother's arriving?" She asked.

"She's not." She turned towards my mom, "we're not doing thanksgiving here anymore. Happy holidays, Eleanor."
She glared at me then turned to the exit of the house and headed out.

"Why isn't she coming?" My mom asked once she left.

"Because I uninvited them." I smiled.

Serena and her family went to the Humphrey loft for thanksgiving, leaving me with my mom and her guests who she barely knew, since my father cancelled last minute.

We were all eating at the table, until me and my mother argued, which made me excuse myself and ran straight to my bedroom, and called Serena.. I couldn't do it no more. All of this 'little miss perfect'.

I don't know what gotten into me, but I haven't send this side of me in ages, it's like I was letting all my anger out at once.

Serena had arrived and I was sat on my bathroom floor, after spending minutes of crying, and raging.

"Hey it's me." She knocked on the wooden door quietly, and walked inside.

"I didn't mean for it to happen.." I cried, as she sat beside me on the marble floor.

"I didn't see your dad downstairs..." she whispered.

"My mom just decides everything, you know? Everything in the world is just totally up to her." I scoffed as I wiped my watery eyes, and rested my head on Serena's shoulder.

"Hey, you wanna get out of here?" She hugged me.

"I'm not going back to that party." I shook my head.

"No! I mean "out of here" out of here. Out of this apartment. To a place a little more sane."

Hey upper east siders, gossip girl here,

Turns out that the Van der Woodsens invited have all got lost in the post.. or maybe they're just too bland to be invited.

We have learnt that all 'perfect' people have not so perfect lives.
