Third Person's POV

It's been 5 months already if counting the day they started talking. Time really do fly fast but every minutes he spent with her is extra fast. Everything about this girl is fascinating, her eyes, her smile, the way she thinks and the way she talks is definitely a walking art. Mingyu still remembers how she bravely defend herself from the bully months ago when she first coming to school. He loves that she can just go against the whole world if she gets mistreated.

It's ashamed to say that now he can barely feel those strength, those toughness in Jia no more. The gaze that could eat you alive when you got on her nerves is becoming tired. Every night they used to FaceTime each other for hours before bed but these days she can hardly keep up to 20 minutes and he has no idea why. But whatever the reason is, Mingyu wants to reignite the spark.

"Woah, woah, babe."  Mingyu awing in a proud smile that his girl looking gorgeously in a dress he bought. "Whose girl is this?"

He makes her twirls one last time and Jia also happily does it for him. "You prepared all of this yourself?" She asked as he comes for a kiss. "So no one home?"

Mingyu hug her around the waist while her arms are on his shoulder. "My father never home and the maids won't bother us, don't worry." He holds her hand and walks her on the rose petals that spread all over the way to the dinning table. It's prepares by the pool with a giant bouquet of 555 white roses sitting on a chair waiting for them. It's representing the anniversary of 5 months together.

"You like it, honey?" He asked, hugging her from the back, admiring the view of the light, the pool, the smell of fresh flower and scented candles and all the Polaroid photos of them that he had printed out. These feeling is great but nothing is more satisfying than having her in his arms.

She nod, "I love it. Thank you for all the hard work, jagiya." He excitedly took a few pictures together claiming that he will make it into a beautiful portrait painting. He lean forward to he rest his chin on her shoulder and Jia couldn't be more liquid than she is now.

Life has been challenging and torturing her day and night but every time this side of him comes out, all her angers suddenly go along the wind. In return, it left her with the warmth of his embrace that she's craving for. She always knew that Mingyu had this power over her but Jia just realised that he still has it until now, despite, all the suffering he made her go through.

"Honey" he murmurs into her ear.

"Hmm?"

"Should we go to L.A for college? You had been there before it's not going to be difficult to adapt again."  Jia slowly break the hug and turn to look at him to see if he's serious. "On summer break last year I went there with my sister, since then i can't stop thinking about that city."

Her breath stuck in the chest, feet turning ice-cold thinking about the place she once called hell that spell as home.  "Mingyu I—

"It has the best law school, Jia you told me you want to run a successful law firm. I also did a research o—

"Do you know I have a panic attack whenever people talk about that city?" She shuts him off with her worse past trauma reflection that she wishes it's the first thing he remembers, luckily not. "I've been through a lot growing up there, Mingyu-ahh let's not talk about it."

Realisation hits once his memory started working. He was told before that her parents got divorced when she was 2 and since the mother won a child custody at court, she took Jia with her to the state. Starting the new life there she went to the kindergarten, elementary, middle and most of her high school there until the senior year that she gets transferred back to South Korea. Those years was a living hell being her irresponsible mother's child. The little girl was locked alone at home most of the time when the mother went out with her boyfriend that changed every other weeks. Three times that she almost got assaulted by those men and two times she was hospitalised from Anemia (low healthy red blood cell) due to depression.
