Hey everyone so I just wanted to clarify something before moving forward with the story for those who are confused on exactly HOW the borderlands happened. Everyone had signed up to take part in an experiment but was lied to. The company that Hana and Mira owned/worked for had both scientists, researchers and technology experts which is how they were able to manufacture such a vivid reality such as the borderlands. I know you may be thinking "this is so far fetched it's ridiculous" but actually in 2023 Scientists began testing a brain implant that stimulates the cerebral cortex of a sleeping person and directly affects the dream world. With further development, this technology will allow people to effectively control dream plots and induce lucid dreams which is when you're aware in your dreams. I also want to address a game I had written where they all had to do certain dares. Y/n was made to sit on a chair covered in needles, people have said things like "this is unrealistic, this wouldn't hurt, this would kill a person etc" however this too was based on reality, it was a medieval torture device called the iron chair. Most aspects of this story have been taken from reality, they are things that have existed or are predicted to exist.
