I've been to many places in my lifetime. I've travelled through countries, cities, towns, villages. I've travelled overseas, through forests, over mountains and through deserts. Very few  places I really loved, felt a special connection to. Only one or two of them felt like home.

I did not however, under any circumstances imagine myself returning to Mystic Falls ever again.

One of my informants contacted me three days ago to let me know that the tomb had been opened and that some of the vampires that had been locked in there had escaped.

I wasn't planning on going back. I didn't get a good sleep that night, I was tossing and turning for what felt like forever. For the next two days I tried to ignore it, put it out of my head.

This morning I woke up and I knew I couldn't ignore it any longer. I packed my stuff, arranged for my car to be shipped to America and said goodbye once again to my beautiful home in the countryside of Italy.

Then I made way to the place I swore I would never step foot in again.

   Mystic Falls.
