I think I'm going crazy. I'm stuck in a one-bedroomed apartment with my sister, my nutcase of an ex, and that annoying witch who has been constantly flirting with him all morning. I think she's trying to annoy me. She keeps shooting me cocky looks whenever he flirts back and dirty ones whenever she isn't trying to get his attention.

It shouldn't bother me, it really shouldn't. But I think if she looks at me one more time, I'll kill her. And Klaus, he's just as bad. He flirts back with her and when I pretend not to be paying attention to them, I can feel his gaze on me. Whenever I do happen to look at him, he smirks at me as if Christmas has just come early.

Right now I'm sitting on the couch, reading a Stephen King book that I found on Alaric's shelf. Well, more like pretending to read it. I can't seem to focus on the words with him in the same room. Katherine is sitting on a chair beside the couch.

I watch over my book as Greta examines the moonstone in her hand. Klaus walks up behind her, standing very close to her, reaches an arm around her and takes the moonstone off her. She lifts her face up to his and they smirk at each other. She follows him over to the other side of the room with a smile, then turns back to smirk at me.

That's it, I need a break from this. I throw my book down on the couch and storm into the bathroom to take a shower. It seems the bathroom will be the only place I'll get a few minutes of peace.

It feels like Christmas when I walk out of the bathroom and there's nobody here but Kat. I could cry with joy. "Where are they?" I ask her.

   "No idea. They just left."

"Good. Because I was about two seconds from tearing that bitch's head off."

Kat sighs, "Yeah, she was annoying." She opens the fridge looking for what I'm guessing is probably a blood bag. Every one she finds is empty.

"Kat," I whisper as I hear footsteps on the other side of the door. It opens to reveal Alaric Saltzman.

"Look who's dumb enough to come back," Katherine remarks.

"Well, somebody had to invite him in," Alaric answers. "Damon, would you like to um, come in?" Damon walks in, throws a dirty look my way then smirks at Katherine.

"Are you trying to get us killed!?" she demands.

He pins her up against the wall by the throat. "I gave you vervain, and I'm here to collect. I got it from here, Ric."

   "You sure?"

"Yeah, only one of us needs to get blamed for this. Get back to the house. Keep Elena from handing herself over."

Katherine shoves him off of her. "Get blamed for what?"

"I need to know where Klaus is keeping his werewolf."

"Why? What are you gonna do?"

"Dead werewolf equals no ritual." I roll my eyes. Is he really that stupid?

"No. You can't interfere, Damon. Klaus will kill you and everyone you've ever met."

"I just need to delay this thing."

   "No. No way."

"You should like this. It's gonna buy another month of your pathetic life."

"Right. Except that I'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing."

   "What?"

"Yeah, he's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood. Therefore, I'm in the clear."

"What!?" I demand. I had no clue about this.
