Narrative POV

As Ayanokoji was on a phone call to get the elevator to work, Yukihira and Gabimaru were sitting behind him talking to each other.

"You know Sara-san, he spoke highly of you when we first met. He said that when both of y'all were only 3, you two had a simple task shape sorting assignment, and you two were paired up to sort it out within 8 seconds but as it began, he said that you threw the sphere-shaped object at one of the instructor's and scolded you and Kiyotaka-kun." He said to Yukihira as she remembered that day like it was yesterday.

"Did he ever tell you that another instructor came in to try to calm him down, but then Kiyotaka threw the square at that instructor as both winced in pain since they were hit in the eye? It was pretty amusing." She said as a small smile appeared on her face, but then it immediately disappeared right after remembering what happened after that.

Considering they didn't finish the task in the 8 seconds they were given, while also harming the instructors, both had to be punished which caused one of the instructors to sucker punch them in the stomach.

However, it wasn't the punishment itself that made her not like the memory, since she knew that punishment for not finishing the task correctly was bound to happen. It was the fact that the instructors showed no mercy on Ayanokoji and the instructors tended to go overboard when it came to Ayanokoji, strictly due to the fact that he was related to the head director of the white room.

Despite it being a memory she loved to cherish, it was also a memory she severely disliked and blamed herself for having Ayanokoji not follow the first task they were given.

It wasn't like she harbored any romantic feelings for Ayanokoji, it was because she viewed him as the only friend who understood her and considered him her true friend.

"It seems like you two bonded pretty well despite him treating other people cold." Gabimaru commented but still continued to speak. "But it seems like he dropped that treating people cold method since she isn't here anymore huh..."

After hearing Gabimaru say "she", Yukihira slightly perked up hearing that. Considering only that that pronoun is mentioned within the group, it usually refers to a girl named Azurari who was killed by the hands of Ayanokoji which was revealed to be that both were siblings, but both kept it hidden from the majority of everyone.

Ayanokoji only kept it a secret from everyone except two people which were Gabimaru and Yukihira. Since he had a lot of trust in them, he didn't see the issue of that secret getting out of their mouths. "So you know Azurari?" She asked Gabimaru as he nodded to confirm her question. "Only a few things, but that is about it." He said as he scratched his head.

"Alright then, thank you for the help Katsuragi-kun." Ayanokoji said before hanging up the call as he turned around to look at his fellow comrades. The first one to ask Ayanokoji about the progress of our situation was Gabimaru.

"So do you know how long we have to wait in here?" He asked.

"Should be about in 10 minutes, but it'll also take another 10 minutes to make the elevator work again from what Katsturagi told me since his uncle is the head repairman of this school and said that he can fix it within 10 minutes." Ayanokoji explained to them.

"Which only gives us 20 minutes to even make it to the school." Gabimaru sighed.

'I guess she wasn't too happy about what I said or what has happened to her' Ayanokoji thought as Yukihira broke him out of his thoughts right now "So who planned out the delay for us to not be able to make it?" Yukihira questioned and Ayanokoji already thought out how to explain this the moment the elevator stopped working.
