Narrator POV

And as he drew out the ballot, he then looked at the ballot and read that the first round would be.......

"A 100-question....... Anime quiz?" Gabimaru said hesitantly.

Right after he said what the round would be Orihara, Kiruma, Madarame, Lelouch, and even Aizen were confused about what was said, but the person who was confused the most was Gabimaru.

Despite calculating all possibilities of what the round could be, he didn't calculate this possibility since he had zero idea of what anime even was, but it wasn't like he was the only one who didn't know since Madarame and Kiruma had no clue what anime was.

All of them were so confused, that it made Lelouch ask Gabimaru something. "Gabimaru, can you repeat yourself? I don't think we understood what you said." Lelouch asked him to repeat what the round was.

"A 100-Question anime quiz is what it says.." Gabimaru said so worried that he decided to show them what it said so they knew he wasn't lying.

"Well I'll be damned, he really isn't lying." Orihara commented.

Despite being told what the round was, they still had some concerns, which prompted Kiruma to ask Aizen about this concern. "Aizen-sensei, even though this exam is supposed to test us on problem-solving scenarios right? How does taking a quiz on anime supposed to help us?" Kiruma asked.

Aizen acknowledging the question that Kiruma asked, was currently on the phone with the special exam framers trying to get the next instructions on what to do in this unexpected predicament.

The special exam framers are a small group of executives who help make sure there are no errors within the special exams as they always have backup plans just in case something bad happens.

"What do you mean we have to improvise?" Aizen questioned one of the members of the group. It was safe to say that Aizen wasn't pleased with this.

"You'll just have to proceed with the round, and you better start printing out the quiz. Also, we already started an investigation so you have no need to worry about the exam." The framer on the phone answered Aizen.

As Aizen heard these words, he felt a chill down his spine. He knew that if these people believed something was off about the special exam process, they believed that there was an unorthodox interference in the exam.

Depending on who caused it whether it be a teacher, a student, or even the chairman himself. They can hold the authority to put out the punishment for this as long as they have the approval from the higher-ups.

Aizen responded back in his usual composed self. "Understood." As he ended the call, he answered Kiruma's question even if it wasn't a prepared response, it was good enough to make it acceptable and believable. "To answer your question Hachina, this round tests your knowledge and awareness of the social trends like entertainment in media. Anime is a perfect example of that field." Aizen explained which still left a troubling impression on the leaders and substitutes since all don't possess any knowledge of anime.

"How annoying..." The five thought at the same time.

"Now then, you can pick out who you want to partake in this round. And you'll get an extra 10 minutes since we'll have to prepare." Aizen told them as they headed off to their respective group.

Gabimaru now tried to think of who he should choose since he wasn't gonna choose himself since it would be detrimental. Since he has enough time to discuss with his group, he can try to pry out what their hobbies are and evaluate who is better suited for this round. It was the perfect criteria he created, and he is sure the others also created that criterion as well.
