The next day, when Ana and Paul woke up, they went down to the kitchen for breakfast. At first Paul was not in favor of it. He didn't want Charlie to resent him. Although he had already slept at their house, it was because Charlie insisted so that he wouldn't drive home so late at night. This time Charlie didn't even know that Paul would stay. After Ana reassures him that her father will not be bothered, he uncertainly agrees.
Ana was the first to enter the kitchen and found Charlie drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.
"Good morning dad. How did you sleep?" she approached him and kissed his cheek
"Morning Little wolf. I slee..." he stopped when he saw Paul behind Ana.
He raised his eyebrows "Good morning to you too Paul."
Paul stood awkwardly in the middle of the kitchen and blushed "Good morning Charlie."
Ana couldn't help herself, she started laughing. The situation was too funny, Paul's face was priceless.
Paul looked at her with a scowl on his face. He felt uncomfortable and Ana didn't help with her laughter.
"What's so funny kiddo?" Charlie asked.
She looked at them and continued to laugh even more.
"Ana!" Paul scolded her.
She walked up to him and kissed his cheek "I'm sorry Paul, but your face. Priceless." she tried to remain serious.
Now Charlie started to laugh and Paul looked at him with wide eyes.
"Relax Paul, I'm not going to chase you with a shotgun, Ana would be so mad at me."
Paul was speechless, he didn't know what to expect, but he certainly didn't expect this. He expected Charlie to be at least a little angry, but to laugh with Ana..
"I hope it's okay that Paul stayed last night. I wasn't feeling very well and I didn't feel comfortable being alone." said Ana as she started preparing breakfast.
"What happened to you, were you sick?" Charlie said worriedly
"No big deal, just a headache. You know how needy I am when something hurts." Ana waved her hand.
