It's been a few days since Ana is now an engaged woman. And, in those few days, the smile never left her face. Her step was lighter, her smile never brighter and she felt indescribable joy and peace in her soul. This is how it should have been from the beginning, but nothing in life is served on a silver platter and to get to your happy ending, you have to go through thorns and stones.
But despite everything she's been through, with Paul, the pack and her father, Ana wouldn't have changed a thing if it had brought her to where she is now. From the moment she saw Paul for the first time, her life changed. It can be said that it has changed for the better, but also for the worse. The hardships they went through almost broke them, destroyed them and changed them. But they were stronger than anything and came out of everything even more in love than ever, more stronger, smarter and with a bond that even life's biggest storm can't break. They proved it.
The next day, after they got engaged, Ana immediately called Emily to tell her the happy news. But of course Emily already knew everything, she was the one who, with the help of the pack, set everything up on the beach while Ana and Paul were at dinner. Ana was not at all surprised, she was happy and grateful because everyone wanted to help and thus contributed to Ana experiencing the happiest day of her life. When Ana and Paul came to Sam's house, everyone congratulated them and expressed their happiness for the newly engaged couple. It is an understatement to say that Ana was in heaven. Surrounded by family and friends, with a man she loves dearly and a baby on the way...
As before, since the ordeal with the vampires was over, Ana woke up in a good mood. She was currently alone in bed while Paul was on patrol, running through the forest just in case. The pack's patrols were now shorter and much less dangerous and tense, so Ana now worried much less about Paul. The worry still exists, but to a much lesser extent.
Like every morning, she had a hard time getting out of bed because of her big pregnant belly. She is now almost eight months pregnant and some things have become difficult for her. And since Paul wasn't there at the moment, she had to do the work herself. It's not that she can't, she can with difficulty, but when Paul is with her, he doesn't let her do almost anything on her own, that means he spoils her a bit. Ana allows him, primarily because it's obvious that both Paul and his wolf have a natural urge to take care of their pup and imprint as much as possible. Sometimes she gets tired of his constant towering over her, but he also makes her life easier.
After taking a hot shower, brushing her teeth, doing the rest of her morning routine and getting dressed, she put water on the stove to heat up so she could make tea. She went out on the porch to get some fresh air, and to pick up on the way the mail from the mailbox. In the mailbox were several envelopes, probably a stack of bills to pay. Mail in hand, she returned to the house just in time for the water to boil. She made tea and sat down at the kitchen table to check what had arrived in the mail. The elegant envelope immediately caught her attention. When she opened it, a small shock went through her body.
