Cisca Norris is a godsend and I love her. I was a little angry with Lando at first when he told me she was coming here but once I opened the door to her light knock and the first thing she did was wrap me in a tight hug I instantly was grateful for her presence. She held me for as long as I needed and by the time I let her go it had been minutes but she didn't care one bit.

Since she arrived she's cleaned my apartment, unpacked most of the boxes that Lando shipped here and handled the delivery of the new bed Lando ordered. Once the bed had been set up and fresh sheets had been added courtesy of her she insisted that I try to take a nap and handed me a scraggily looking puppy stuffy that apparently belonged to Lando when he was younger. I didn't argue with her and got comfortable on our new bed while cuddled up to the stuffy that smells like Lando and ended up falling asleep quickly.

I ended up waking up a few hours later to the smell of food and my stomach grumbles as I walk to the kitchen to find Cisca unpacking brown paper bags. She got Chinese and my mouth waters wishing I could eat it but knowing I won't be able to keep any of it down.

"Lando told me you have been having trouble keeping food down. I had the worst morning sickness with him so I wasn't surprised to hear that." She explains and I can't help but smile as she talks about when she was pregnant with Lando.

"One of the only things I was able to keep down for that first trimester was wonton soup." She explains as she pulls out a giant tub of said soup from one of the bags and I instantly get excited about the prospect of me possibly getting to eat something that will help.

"At this point I'm willing to try anything, I'm so hungry." I reply as I move to grab a bowl and a spoon. She takes them from me and dishes me a bowl and I can't help but feel loved when she tells me to sit down at the island and places the bowl in front of me and looks at my pointedly, waiting for me to try it. I tentatively bring the spoon to my mouth and slurp the broth and moan in happiness at the flavors. Cisca looks pleased when she sees me going for more.

"I also got white rice, beef and broccoli, dumplings and some mango pudding if the wonton soup goes okay and you're still hungry." She explains and then turns to the refrigerator and grabs a drink and brings it to me.

"I also got you some ginger ale and lemonade." She says as she places a can of ginger ale in front of me and I smile thankfully at her as I keep eating my soup.

"Thank you, you didn't have to do all of this." I tell her and she rolls her eyes as she grabs another brown paper bag from the floor and starts pulling out more things.

"Nonsense. This is what mothers do for their children and although I'm not your mom yet, I will be soon enough so let me take care of you my darling girl." She says pointedly and I feel my heart expand in my chest at her words. Tears prick my eyes as I process them and I have to bite my lip to stop the sobs that are trying to break free. She smiles at me knowingly and starts pulling things out of the bag and moving on from her words like they weren't just the most sweet words ever and truthfully I'm glad that she's not making a fuss about it.

"I got you some B6 vitamins because I read that it can help with morning sickness and figured it wouldn't hurt to take on top of your prenatal vitamins. I also grabbed some hard ginger and peppermint candies, saltine crackers, and a cute new reusable water bottle to help you stay hydrated as well as an array of snacks that I feel like might be good for when you start feeling more up to them."
