Mixing Together

I choked on the liquid with tears running down my cheeks. My body wreathed in desperation. The liquid seemed to close my airway. Just as I as started to black, out the liquid came back up my throat. I fell to the floor and held tightly to the rug. The liquid drained from me and I turned over to lie on my back. "What was that?" I asked hoarsely.

Both men stood beside me with their arms crossed and hard expressions. "Tell me exactly what happened to you in or" Lecian said. After he helped me off the ground and to the couch, I told him everything. Lecian only nodded throughout my entire explanation. At no point did the boy have a different facial expression than annoyed. I bit the inside of my cheek for yelling at him. Normally it wouldn't bother me that someone expresses their disinterest in me, but I was crushed by his rejection.

When I was finished, Lecian stood and started writing in his book. I looked at him questioningly, but he held up a hand. "You see, when the serpent creature sent the poison down your throat, it was supposed to kill you very slowly. With the estimated half a day later, you experienced Malvant. That poison absorbs into your skin to attack your system, but the first thing it was able to attack was the serpents poison.

"What I believe happened, is that the two poisons came together to counteract each other. From the two mixing, it made some sort of healing substance. You will find yourself weak for a while from the effects, but Elliana, your body is rebuilding itself" He finished. I looked at him like he was crazy. "What?" I asked incredulously. "Your body is reacting to these poisons and now you are able to reject any type of harmful substance that enters your body. Right now your body is working in overtime to break down the poison and build a defense system"

"What about the Intangible poison?" I asked. He nodded his head and looked to the boy then back to me. "Because your body was been reproducing the combined poisons, it not only is rebuilding your body to withstand harmful substances, it's creating a defense system. Anything is possible when you consider the two poisons circulating your body. One of the effects of the process, would be the absorbing of the Intangibles poison.

"That would most likely be the cause of the Malvant. Your body understands how the Mavlant got into you, so as the defense builds, it is taking in the Intangible poison and storing it within these new cells. From what I've seen, the only way for them to come out is when you feel threatened. Your body will immediately release the Intangible poison. The only problem is that I'm unsure how your return to normal. It could be your Intangible because your body recognizes its matches poison, but there is no specific answer"

"Now the serpents poison is the exact opposite of the Malvant. This poison causes you to reject anything that has the potential to harm you" he said. "If I'm in taking the Intangible's poison, how am I able to allow some and reject others?" I asked. "The Intangible poison is made specifically to you. It poses no threat, but your body understands that it can be used in your defense. It's like becoming the better you" he answered.

"It makes no sense, but it is the most probable thing that is happening. You have to understand that your body is doing what it thinks is right in protecting you. I fear what will happen in the future to be quite honest. Your body is producing these cells quickly, and since this have never happened before, I have to assume that anything is possible" He finished.

"So because of the counteracting poisons, my body is rejecting anything harmful and not allowing me to intake anything. Because the poisons were made to destroy, my body worked to make something in my body that creates rapid healing? I still don't understand my healing" I admitted. Lecian nodded and put his hand on his chin.

"That also refers to the serpents poison. The poison rejects the bad substances your come in contact with, but it also is producing a way to be able to heal yourself when you get hurt. So when you get hurt, the part of the cell formed by serpents poison gets rid of the harmful item and with that action, it recognizes you need help. These cells like I said work fast. They're healing rate exceeds anything I've ever seen. I do think that something is helping them along" he said and looked to the boy.
