The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, golden hue over the Butterfly Estate. The serene environment, with its well-maintained gardens and fluttering butterflies, contrasted sharply with the exhaustion and injuries of the slayers who arrived at its gates.

Kage led the group, his eyes scanning the familiar surroundings for any sign of their caretakers. Akira followed closely behind, grinning at this new sight before a butterfly landed on his nose. "You were right. It really is a nice place," he said, making Kage chuckle.

On her side, Ayuna, carrying the still-sleeping Shirayuki, brought up the rear. "We are nearly here," she said, readjusting her grip on Shirayuki. The white-haired girl's serene expression belied the intense battle she had endured. Her breathing was steady and calm as she remained oblivious to the world around her.

As they crossed the threshold into the estate, Aoi and the three helpers, Kiyo, Naho, and Sumi, rushed forward to meet them. "You all look terrible," Aoi said, her tone a mix of worry and reprimand.

Then, her eyes landed on Shirayuki, who was being carried by Ayuna, making her smile, as she was already used to this sight. "Come inside quickly. We need to treat these wounds," she instructed, making the three slayers do as instructed.

They followed the helpers into a room before Ayuna carefully settled Shirayuki down on a bed. Instantly, Kiyo, Naho and Sumi began helping the injured slayers. "We might need to make something for Shirayuki-chan when she wakes up," realised Naho, making the two other helpers nod. "I will go do it!" said Kiyo, leaving the room.

*Growl*

As if hearing them, they heard the sleeping girl's stomach agreement. Then, Shirayuki mumbled something incoherent in her sleep. "She never changes," Aoi mused with a soft smile, making Kage chuckle. "Yeah, that's for sure," he said as Naho bandaged his arm.

"Honestly, I'm surprised by her," said Akira, who had Sumi applying herbs on his back. "I never met anyone as fast as me," he said before looking at the white-haired girl. "Now I want to have a race against her," he said with a grin, making the others chuckle at his eagerness.

Ayuna, whose injuries had already healed, brushed a strand of hair from Shirayuki's face. Then, she slowly retraced the snowflake pattern she had seen earlier before frowning. 'I really wonder what it could have been,' she thought before shaking her head.

*Caw*

Enjin, perched nearby, cawed softly, drawing Ayuna's attention. She walked over to the crow, making him clear his throat. "Can you report to me what happened so I can inform Oyakata-sama?" he asked, making Ayuna nod.

"When we reached Watakami Summit, there was an abandoned town up top filled with demons," began Ayuna before looking at Kage. "And even if they were a lot of them. We didn't have too many difficulties," she said, making the boy nod.

"But then we encountered two demons..." she trailed, making Enjin tilt his head. "One was Doma the Upper Moon Two, and the other was Moku the Tailed Beast Demon Eight," she explained, which made her crow's eyes widen at the information.
