Sup guys and gals, I hope you're all doing well. As you've read in the last chapter, this is the end of Shirayuki's story, and the end of Justice is Blind.
So, here, I wanted to give this final act a more author note-esque kind of ending...if that's a thing? Let's just roll with it, yeah?
First off, I have to say that this story has been in my mind for a long time. It was before I actually wrote it nearly two years ago. So yeah, a little fun fact is that I actually planned out most of it before I even wrote the first chapter.
Yep, every arc, every moment, every major decision, even Ayuna's...uhm...*ahem* ...yeah...most of that was set in stone from the very beginning. So, seeing it all play out and watching how you responded has been nice to see.
Now, I've got to thank every single one of you. Every read, comment, and vote has meant so much to me. Knowing you were enjoying this story kept me going, even when finding the time to write was tough. Honestly, your support made me want to get chapters out faster and see how you would react. And hey, we made it to the end, didn't we?
I also wanted to share a bit about how I had been writing Shirayuki's story. I'm sure you've noticed, but it focused heavily on her interactions with OCs (demons, slayers, etc.) while keeping Shirayuki tied to some of the major canon moments. For me, this was more fun and refreshing than sticking her directly in Tanjiro's group.
Why? Because I didn't want to take away from the original story's light. I feel like having Shirayuki travel with Tanjiro might have 'stolen' his spotlight or blocked some of his character development. Even if I could have written around it, this approach gave me more freedom to let Shirayuki shine in her own way.
And yeah, if it wasn't obvious enough, the Tailed Beast Demons were heavily inspired by Naruto. They were the main threats for Shirayuki, while Tanjiro and the others could still take on the Twelve Moons. This let me blend original ideas with canon moments, and it was honestly a blast to write.
Oh! And here's something for you guys: I've put together a little arc table as a guide for the story. Even if it comes at the end and if you reached this act...well, you...probably already finished the...story...*ahem*...but hey, maybe you'll want to read it again, who knows.
- Arc 1: Final Selection – Acts 1-4
- Arc 2: Natsugiri Village – Acts 5-6
- Arc 3: Kasai-ji Temple – Acts 7-8

- Arc 12: Sunrise Countdown – Acts 39-48
Also, since this is the final act, I would love to hear from you guys, too. What did you enjoy the most? Was there an arc, a character or a moment that stood out to you? Or maybe you have a question about the story or whatnot? Drop it in the comments, and I'll reply to you all because I really want to know your thoughts.
Lastly, while this is the end of Justice is Blind, it's definitely not the end of my writing. I've already got some other stories up and new ideas cooking up for the next projects. So, stay tuned because it'll be coming sooner rather than later!
Anyway, I think I've said everything I wanted to. So, let me just thank you all again for sticking around, for supporting this story, and for making this journey unforgettable. I loved writing it and that you all were here for the ride.
Stay awesome, fam! Love you all.
