This is a request for someone on AO3, am writing it here and will transfer it over there when it's done, this is fluff + they swear- because- well they're adults, why can't they?

Error had been patching up his wounds from his most recent battle with ink, as of now this would probably make it somewhere around the millionth battle they've had together, no other way of bonding than through getting the shit smacked into you, am I right? Everytime he thought about ink it made him vicious, his face often flushed, whether from the downright hatred- or the nagging feeling at the bottom of his soul that he couldn't help but try to ignore. It made no sense for error to have these feelings; ink's obnoxious, careless, selfish, impulsive, and soulless. There's not many good traits that he could rationalize out, for now, it was best to just ignore.
Well, until ink came running to him, the vials clinking together in his sash as he came. "Error-!" Ink was out of breath and before he finished what he could say, he threw up, the black ink covering the white floor of the antivoid. Well, that's one way to add color to a blank space.. although not a preferred method. "Ah- sorry for the mess- error, holy shit! There are strange people in the doodlesphere, they also breached into here and dream and nightmare are comatose-!" He seemed panicked, probably way more than panicked considering ink doesn't recognize these people, the positive and negative guardians are both in a coma-like state so there will be barely any aid- plus the fact that he's getting followed.
"You're crazy ink- quit playing games I don't want to see you anymore." He strung up ink by his arms, error squinted his eyes, watching what looked like little black dots moving closer, all in coordinated movements..like a hivemind. The black dots in question were people, all wearing black suits, humans, monsters, and whatever else was there.
"Entity error, do not resist. We are a.u.p.a. hand over entity ink." One of the people in suits demanded. A.u.p.a stood for alternative universe protection agency, they are the ones who deem protectors fit and set guidelines for how a multiverse can be protected. Obviously this was crazy talk- sure he and ink fought often but he's not going to just hand him over to strangers.
The lack of action had caused them to take drastic measures, one grabbing error's arms from behind, restricting his movements, pressing what could essentially be described as a taser against error's neck, sending out powerful jolts of energy. His vision blurred more than it had already, the strings that held ink releasing him, dropping him.
Ink found himself sitting in a blank room, surrounded by a few higher ups, for hours on end they berated him and his capabilities as an protector. Reading off his 'crimes' and legal documents plus reports of incidents big and small. Apparently, showing a lack of care for the residents of an au is considered cruel, which, ink with his morals and ethics.. didn't quite understand at first. He just wanted to get out of here, it could just be the lack of anything else but this room was really unnerving.
Error on the other hand was retained, obviously the agency knew error was going to be pissed when he woke up so they locked him in a cell and shackled his hands. A live audio of ink and others in the blank room played through a small speaker, the sounds somewhat distorted due to the quality of the speaker itself.
It was the second time In awhile that error realized ink's mortality, sure, yeah, the guy has no soul but that wouldn't stop him from getting killed. His little body can still get limb from limb and cease to exist, just like flowey can. At least if he had a soul it could still have another vessel even though chances are highly unlikely. Hell, determination might not even save ink. It was kinda disturbing to think that ink could actually die, forever.
Ink was honestly beginning to miss error, well, if you're in a blank room with people you don't know, you'd definitely choose the person you've known longest. Even if you spent so much time fighting them. He hummed, trying to find his way out of here. Sure, he acts stupid, but that doesn't mean he is stupid. He was capable of making an escape plan. He knocked over a glass of water, apologizing. Ink's eyes flicked over to some keys, his pupils changing to little orange exclamation points. In an instant he was already snatching them up and jamming them into the door, pulling instead of pushing. Either way, he left that room, didn't he? It definitely counts.
He skidded down the halls, trying to find an actual escape out of the massive, maze-like building.
Error was making his own escape, sure it was unsanitary but what's worse? Dying here, or having spit all over your hands just so you can escape these weirdos. Now that he was out of the shackles..he just needed to find a way out of the cell, he wasn't thin enough to just pass through it, even so if he was they're probably smart enough to have some sort of magical barrier since they probably have done this to past protectors and destroyers. "Damn.." he looked around the cell for anything that could come in handy. Nothing.
Ink was running out of breath, why were these hallways so long? who needs all of this? What was the reason- he turned the corner, making his way into where prisoners were held. He was kinda worried about error. Sure, error was smart- and strong, but that never did stop him from worrying. Worry was not a natural emotion that came from his vials. Although, he welcomed it with open arms, in a way he figured it was kinda like gaining sentience and unlocking new emotions in a robot. He was sentient but definitely not a robot.
Error had made it out, roaming the halls, seeing a blur coming towards him. At first, he thought it was one of those weird secret-service guys, whatever they were called, luckily it was just ink.
"ERRORRR!" ink threw himself into error with such a force that he managed to knock him down and cause the two of them to tumble. Error's body fizzed, not quite crashing yet. Yellow invaded his cheeks, his hands reflexively pushing Ink up and away from his body. Ink missed error, he missed error a lot, he honestly thought he wouldn't see him again.
"HCK- INK-!" He sat up, his tailbone hurt from ink using him as a bowling pin. "Don't ever do that again!" He huffed, his glare softening as he took a moment to process everything. "..glad to see you made it out..in one piece at least." Being in that cell made him reflect on a lot of things. How he and ink were always fighting each other, how he strangely got protective over anyone else but him fighting ink, how he actually came to realize ink does have good traits, admirable even. But most importantly. How much he loved and cared about ink.
"Error, I think I love you. Which.. probably sounds crazy especially coming from me- but this whole time, I missed you. You know, I worried about you and that's something I never thought i could do-" even with his wording needing improvement, it was as soul-felt as ink could get.
Error smiled, it was small and barely even noticeable. It was weird how he had loved ink, his love for him wasn't normal by most people's standards. Error's love for ink was more aggressive and rough, which probably was mistaken for hatred, hell, it even fooled him himself. "I guess at certain times..you are more than tolerable, i love you too."
The two had made it successfully out of the facility, error ended up in the star sans base sleeping with a leg over ink's body. They were both exhausted from that, so what is better than just relaxing on the couch. Dream had woken up, moving down the stairs. He came to the sight of those two cuddling on the couch while asleep, while he was shocked at first and confused he just sighed, taking a blanket and laying it over ink and error, leaving them alone to sleep.

The end! Hope you enjoyed!
