SINULYAPAN ni Melrose si Luciferus na abala sa ginagawang pag-aapoy ng ihawan. Nanghuli pala ito kanina ng isda habang tulog siya.

"Wala akong damit," kinalabit niya ang balikat nito. "Uwi na lang tayo sa city, Luci?" She try to sweeten her voice. He glanced at her and shook his head.

"Not gonna happen." Humaba ang nguso niya sa sagot nito. He took that chance to kiss her.

"Huwag mo nga akong halikan! Hindi pa tayo bati."

"Hindi pa? So magiging bati na rin tayo?" Luciferus raised his eyebrow.

"Hindi rin. So stop kissing me. Nag luto ako ng adobo." She said before going inside the house. Malawak ang kabahayan na gawa sa kalahating semento at kalahating bamboo. Kahit ang mga gamit ay halo rin. The dining was beside the living area, walang division may dalawang kwarto ang bahay at may powder room para sa bisita, ang dalawang kwarto ay may sariling banyo.

Inabala niya ang sarili sa pagtingin sa paligid. Maganda ang buong kabahayan, malinis at napakaaliwalas sa pakiramdam. Malayo sa maingay na siyudad at hindi polluted ang hangin. The sound of the wave was calming, it's good to hear the seagulls sang along the waves. This is what she wanted her life to be, with Everest.

Luciferus went inside while holding a long banana leaf with smoking fish.

"Do you want to eat here or outside?" Luciferus asked.

"May lamesa ka sa labas?"

"No, but I have picnic blanket." He said.

"Let's eat outside." Aniya. Tumango si Luciferus at saglit na nawala. May hawak na itong malapad na blanket paglabas. She let him fix their eating area while she prepare their utensils.

Lumabas siya at nalita si Luciferus na hindi kalayuan sa dagat, nasa malilim na lugar ito. She went to him and helped him fix the blanket.

Tahimik lang sila sa ginagawa pero ang puso ni Melrose maingay. Sa simpleng ginagawa nila ni Luciferus ay nakakataba ng puso. The way he asked her about something, the way he respect whatever she want or have to do, but of course when it comes to his rules she can't do anything about it. She still have limitations. Naiintindihan niya naman ito, gusto siyang makausap si Luciferus, at hinayaan niya ito.

Nang makalapag sila sa blanket ay may wine din si Luciferus na dala. She remembered that he owned a winery.

"Like it?" Luciferus was looking at her intently. She smile before nodding.

"I love it, Luci. Thank you."

"Anything for you, Melrose." He smile timidly. "Let's eat."

Tumango lang siya at tahimik na kumain. Nawalan ng trabaho ang mga kutsara’t tinidor dahil mas nagustuhan nilang gumamit ng kamay dahil sa isda na kinakain.

"I remember something," she look at the wine glass she's holding, she swirl the wine inside before sipping. "You're the bartender I met the night before you become my professor."

"So you remember," Luciferus chuckle. "I'm not really a bartender there, I saw you and pretend to be one."

"You really planned everything?" Sinulyapan niya saglit si Luciferus bago tumingin sa karagatan.

"Yeah," he heaved a sigh. "That night was the start. Faith befriended me and one of your professor's was on leave, I grab the chance to go near you."

"Professor ka ba talaga?"

"I studied, but didn't pursue education because I have business to handle."
