As we settled into our cozy cabin in the woods, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. We had left the hustle and bustle of the city behind, and were now surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

The cabin was small, with a rustic charm that immediately made us feel at home. We spent the afternoon exploring the surrounding woods, hand in hand, taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains.

As the sun began to set, we returned to the cabin, exhausted but content. We built a fire in the fireplace, and spent the evening watching the flames dance and listening to the crackling of the wood.

I pulled out a journal and began to write, pouring out my thoughts and feelings onto the page. He sat beside me, his eyes fixed on mine as I wrote.

As I wrote, I felt a sense of clarity wash over me. I was finally able to confront my fears and doubts, and put them to rest. I was finally free to be myself, without apology or pretension.

He noticed my tears welling up in my eyes, and reached out to wipe them away. "It's okay," he whispered. "You're safe now."

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "I'm sorry," I said. "I've been holding onto so much pain for so long."

He nodded, his expression gentle. "I know," he said. "But you're not alone anymore. You're not alone."

As we sat there, surrounded by the peacefulness of nature, I felt a sense of peace settle over me. We were finally free to heal, free to grow, free to live.

But the peacefulness of the cabin was shattered by the sound of howling wolves in the distance really soon. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but as the night wore on, the howls grew louder and closer.

I woke up to find him sitting up in bed, his eyes wide with fear. "What's wrong?" I asked, my voice shaking.

"It's them," he whispered. "They're coming for us."

I followed his gaze out the window, and my heart sank. A pack of wolves had gathered outside the cabin, their eyes glowing in the darkness.

Panic set in as we scrambled to get ready, grabbing our bags and rushing out the door. We didn't make it far before the wolves surrounded us, their hot breath on our necks.

In a desperate bid to protect us, he pushed me behind him, his eyes locked on the pack leader. "Get away from her!" he growled, his voice low and menacing.

The alpha wolf snarled, its eyes fixed on him. I watched in horror as it lunged at him, its jaws snapping mere inches from his face.

In a split second, he pushed me towards the trees, shouting "Run!" I didn't need to be told twice. I sprinted into the darkness, my heart racing with fear.

As I looked back, I saw him fighting off the pack, his eyes flashing with a fierce determination. But there were too many of them. He was overwhelmed.

I stumbled through the darkness, tripping over roots and fallen branches. I could hear his screams growing fainter, replaced by the sound of snarling and growling.

Eventually, I collapsed to my knees, overcome with grief and despair. I was alone, lost in the woods with no sign of him.
