Background: Bird-like creatures that make their homes all over the continent,but a majority of them live in the mountains and Lamia canyon of the Barren lands. Harpies are curious and enthusiastic about new experiences, though they have issues with picking up social cues. This is because they are mostly guided by basic instincts. When a Harpy finds a man that suits her fancy,she will take him to her nest,but her instincts will take over, leading her to forget about the man being her mate, and instead,seeing him as food for her non-existent chicks. However,she will quickly come to her senses and will happily have sex with her man,making him her husband. If a Harpy has chicks from a forgotten lover,the chicks will instinctively see him as food,but will quickly forget that and quickly bond with the man,seeing him as their father.
Culture: Harpies are carefree, and easily come off as stupid. However,they are aware of this, and will put the smartest members of their species in charge. They primarily work as couriers,due to their ability to fly, and their instincts can be used to guide them to destinations, either by regularly going to and from their assigned destination,or by using large pieces of magnetite as a beacon for their internal compass (a magnetic bone that's located in the front of their skull) when a Harpy finds a husband,some other harpies will get jealous and try to have sex with him in a flocking frenzy,which usually ends in a Harpy harem.
