Background: Beings with a combination of human and fish anatomy. They were uniquely created by Echidna,whom gifted a group of humans the ability to live in the ocean,in exchange for using magic to crash ships,which they agreed to. After the great transformation,they no longer use their magic songs to crash ships,but will use it to both entertain people, and seduce humans of the opposite sex. Merpeople breath using both lungs and gills,and will switch whenever they submerge or breach the surface. Mermaid gills double as an erogenous zone, and if a man were to stick their fingers inside of the gill slits,the mermaid will experience a combination of tingling and sexual sensations.When a mermaid sings to a human man,they emitt a frequency that causes the listener to feel sexual arousal, and uncontrollable affection towards the mermaid. The human will then join her in the water and have sex with her. Mermaids possess human vaginas and are oviviparous,meaning they they carry eggs internally. During sex,the mermaid will typically drag her husband to the ocean floor and ride him to her heart's content,only stopping to bring him to the surface to breathe,but she can supply them with oxygen from their swim bladders if the sex is getting too intense to stop. When impregnated,the mermaid will carry the fertilized eggs within her womb,which will grow larger as the embryo develops. When the mermaid gives birth,she releases the egg,which is quickly torn open by the newborn merperson,who instinctively rushes to the surface to take their first breath.
Culture: Merpeople live in a monarchy,under a royal family in the Coral kingdom. They utilize a barter system, and typically trade treasures from sunken wrecks,along with pearls. Some merpeople can enter freshwater, and thus have moved to the primordial Marshlands in search of treasure, and some stay, usually due to marriage. The royal family of the coral kingdom are always looking to expand, and have thus set out various challenges for potential suitors. Because of this, many humans, merpeople, and other monsters strive to learn about and complete these tasks with the hope of betrothing a mermaid princess.
