Background: Known as the Kawauso in the Serene islands, Kushtaka are human-like creatures with otter attributes. They have the ability to shapeshift,but typically possess a youthful appearance,which they use to charm people into giving them free food and other goods. They love playing pranks on people, usually by shapeshifting into people that their victim knows and giving them unusual requests or orders which put them on wild goose chases. If one were to desire one as a spouse,they should ask a suspected Kushtaka/Kawauso "Oraya" if they answer "Araya" or "Kawai" this is confirmation that they are what they are suspected to be, and will happily embrace the human as their spouse.
