Primary Habitat: Girdle Forest

Diet: Herbivorous

Behavior: Shy

Background: A centaur-like being with deer qualities, they are a fairly common sight within the Girdle Forest, but due to their shy nature, they will quickly flee from sight. If a female finds a man that strikes her fancy, she will trot around the area to try and encourage him to pursue her, often showing her rear in clear view. If the man tries to pursue her,she will intentionally corner herself to give him an advantage. If he manages to successfully grab her,she will have sex with him and he will now be her husband,or "buck" as she will call him. If a male finds a human female,he will stick out his chest fluff in a display, and if the woman accepts him,he will proceed to tear her clothes off with his antlers before mounting his new wife.

Culture: White-tails live in patriarchal herds, led by an alpha buck, his harem, and his offspring, with the daughters usually being the ones to leave and find husbands of their own. Males will stay to defend their mothers and sisters that stick close, and if the alpha buck does, the strongest buck will end up inheriting the herd, and will select which does to keep and mate with. White-tail does will often paint white spots on their bodies, simulating the patterns they had when they were fawns. The reason is to appear more "cute" to bucks, as well as give off the impression that they are young adults, and are therefore more fertile than older does. Because spots give off the impression of youth and fertility, White-tail bucks will typically claim human wives that have freckles or splotches.
