Primary Habitat: Primordial Marshlands

Diet: Fluids

Behavior: Curious,playful

Background: Slimes are large, amoeba-like creatures that were designed to be hardy, intelligent and relentless predators, but they went through a very dramatic change in the great transformation. They are now very inquisitive and friendly creatures. They will often imitate and observe humans that they come into contact with, and are very fast learners. Slimes are genderless, but will often present as feminine, but can present as masculine or androgenous. Slimes have a diet that mainly consists of various fluids, from water to blood,to semen. They also possess corrosive elements in their bodies, which they can use to digest plant matter and tissue. The protein in human semen actually helps to increase their intelligence and gives them a more sentimental attachment to the human male they imprinted on.  When slimes find a human that strikes their fancy, they imprint on the human, following them, observing them, and eventually begin to interact with and attempt to have sex with them. Slimes reproduce both sexually and asexually; they will use the stem cells they collect from bodily fluids to generate a slime egg that will then be fertilized by their husband during copulation. They will then deposit the egg in a container with water and a chunk of their biomass. Within 2 days to a week, the egg will bind with the fluids and emerge as a fully formed slime. Note: slimes do not go through a form of "childhood" like other organisms, and instead are functionally adults as soon as they're born.

Culture: Slimes live in a caste system with a Royal slime being the matriarch of the colony. Normal slimes have the simple goal of hunting for food and fluids to bring back to the queen in order to reproduce. While slimes are biologically immortal, royal slimes will eventually go through a retirement stage, where they will generate another royal slime to take over the colony. Worker slimes can occasionally be chosen to become a queen and will be gifted with royal jelly to undergo the transformation. Worker slimes can also choose to leave the colony,if they imprint on a mate, though occasionally, they will bring their husband to the colony and present him to the Royal slime to aid in reproduction via intercourse.
