Background: A combination of human and clam or oyster, they're originally planned to act as oceanic mimics to lure sailors by appearing to be a large oyster,which would likely have a treasure trove's worth of pearls. After the great transformation,they became a very calm race. They usually spend their day luring fish for food, and resting in their shells. Because of their peaceful nature,it's not uncommon to see them coexisting with fishing villages. When a clam finds a suitable husband, she'll happily open up her shell, revealing her naked form,inviting him for sex. Upon copulation,the clam will close her shell around him, holding him close to her as they mate. To be further intimate with their husband,a clam will extend her waste tube for him to use for masturbation. The waste tube essentially acts as both the anus, and propulsion system for the clam to travel underwater. Upon losing their virginity,a clam will produce a large pink pearl, known as a "Virginity Pearl" which is heavily sought after as a sexual symbol, a treasure, and an alchemy ingredient. The clam will often present her virginity Pearl to her husband as a form of marriage, and sometimes,the husband will fashion the pearl into a ring or necklace.
