[Thursday, 11:15 a.m.]
Multiple loud knocks on his apartment door interrupted Levi from his cleaning. He leaned the Swiffer mop against the kitchen wall and removed his one ear pod, placing it in his pocket. He made his way to the door and looked out of the peephole before unlocking the 2 locks on the door. One of the locks, a chain lock, was freshly installed on the door earlier that morning.
Levi turned the lock on the door knob and then undid the chain lock attached to the wall. He then opened the door and was greeted by Hange's smiling face. Her grin was quickly replaced by a small frown when she saw the look of concern on Levi's face. He didn't even greet her with his usually snarky remark. He just gestured her inside and closed the door behind her after she walked in.
Hange walked further inside and looked around at the spotless surfaces around her. It was cleaner.. even cleaner than it normally was.
"Ah.. you've been cleaning, I see." She smiled and walked over to sit on the sofa. Levi walked over to the sink and began washing his hands.
"Yeah. For some reason, I have this damn urge to just keep scrubbing everything in sight today. I like to have shit clean, but.. this is ridiculous. I can't stop."
Hange cackled softly and looked back at him as he continued to viciously scrub his hands. "That sounds like the Levi, I knew! Something has you worried, hmm?" She smirked.
"Why? Was that.. something I did in my past life?" He shut the sink off and dried his hands.
"Oh yes! Worried, disgusted, or irritated, Levi used to obsessively scrub everything he could over and over again until he was satisfied. The funny thing was.. he was never satisfied! No such thing as too clean!"
"Tch. Great.. that explains it then." He sighed, walked over to the other end of the sofa, and sat.
"It will be hard at first for you to differentiate between your actions. You will get the hang of it! Eventually, it will all mesh together.. especially as you gain more memories! This is just the start of it for you, though. It will.." Hange paused and glanced at Levi. "..most likely get more difficult for you before it gets easier."
"Awesome." Levi scoffed.
"So how is [Y/N] doing? She spoke briefly to me about what went on the other day at the hospital.."
"That's why I'm happy you are here.." Levi started but was interrupted.
"Aww, Levi is happy to see me!" Hange scooted over to him on the sofa and pulled him in for a hug.
"Cut it out, Four-Eyes." He grumbled as he attempted to push her away. Hange then let go, but the wide grin never left her face.
"I need advice.." Levi sighed and turned his head to avoid Hange's glare. The fact that Levi was confiding in her made her beyond excited, and he could sense it.
"[Y/N] hasn't left my room since that day.. only to use the bathroom. She won't go to school. I have to bring her meals to the room for her to eat. Late last night, I heard her crying. I knocked, but she told me to go away.."
"So what's the deal with the new lock on the door? I noticed it when I walked in." Hange asked.
"I wanted to make her feel safer, just in case.." Levi paused when he saw the strange look on Hange's face. Her cheeks were puffed up like she was holding something in. "What the hell is that look for?"
"AWWWWW!" Hange blurted out at the top of her lungs. "Levi, that's so sweet! Look at you! All worried about [Y/N].. I could shed a tear!" She said and pretended to rub her eyes dramatically.
