Chan had invited me out with his mom and sister for the day. It had freshly snowed the day before, and we all stood around a frozen pond, watching chain, bend dance, and play with his mom as if he was five years old again I stood back next to his sister who was recording everything admiring the way he treated his mom and sister, any person that ends up being his life partner is going to be extremely lucky so lucky to have a caring and loving man like him next to them at all times my mom started to wander and I put myself in his mom's place the way he toiled her around and they danced having the Isis support to glide easier had me wishing it was me. I could vividly see myself dancing with him, smiling and giggling while he did some dramatic moves like in the movies. I really wished at that moment it was me.
"Hey, you okay?" His sister nudged gently with her elbow. I slightly jumped and shook my head, coming back to reality.
"Yeah, I am fine." I smiled at her. She nodded calling her mom over so she could take a sip of her coffee. I looked at the camera and my hands and started scrolling through the pictures trying to act busy from the corner of my eye I could see Changbin's sister whispering something in his ear.
"I'm going to take Mom to warm up in the car, but we will be back in a few minutes." They walked away leaving me and Changbin standing on the side of the pond.
"Did you get good pictures?" he asked me as I turned the camera off and hung it around my neck.
"I did" I replied, looking up at him and then back out at the pond.
We stood there in silence, just looking at the beautiful view around us. I tried my head to look at him a few times, but he never looked back at me so I just started walking to the car.
"Can I ask you something?" I stop in my tracks and turn to look at him.
"Of course! What's up?" I asked, placing my hands in the pockets of my coat.
"Why have you not told me yet?" I looked at him confused, not knowing what he was talking about.
"What do you mean?" I asked my bottom lip nervously. He stepped closer to me, looking into my eyes and sighing.
"You are a closed yet open book at the same time. Your lips will never say anything but your eyes scream what you never say." My heart started beating faster as the panic set in. I looked away from him, knowing what he was indicating, but not wanting to come to terms with it.
"I have no idea what you were talking about." I chuckled nervously as I turned my back to him he wrapped his hand around my forearm and spun me around to look at him. He pulled me out to the middle of the ice. Instead, they're looking at me.
"Your eyes otherwise even with the panic showing." Changbin let's go of my arm to put his own hand in his pocket, but the minute his hand moved I started to slip and I was going backwards.
"Changbin!" I squealed, trying to catch myself. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me flush against his chest. I was breathing hard from fear as I closed my eyes thinking I had hit the ground already.
"You are okay I got you!" He whispered in my ear as I leaned my forehead against his chest.
"Thank you" I whispered trying to calm my breathing down.
"If you won't say it, I will... I like you!... I am falling in love with you. I know you feel the same way, but don't worry I'll catch you when you decide to fall as well." I looked up at him to see if he was serious. I have only been around playful Changbin never serious Changbin so I had to make sure he was dead serious.
He was!
"How long have you known?" You asked as he started to sway back and forth on the ice.
"I am oblivious... but I noticed a few months ago. You act different around me." he looked down and started humming while placing my arm around his neck, his hands on the bottom of my back swaying side to side.
He pushed me away gently and spun me slowly, so we both didn't fall. I started to giggle and blush, causing him to start laughing.
"You are cute when you laugh," he says, kissing my forehead. I stopped laughing at the sudden display of affection. I looked up at him while my brain and heart fought hard to push my body away from him, but my body didn't listen and had a mind of its own, I got on my tiptoes and pressed my lips against his in a lingering peck. It was short and sweet as I was still afraid all of this was a joke. I pulled away quickly, but he pulled me back into his body and kissed me again, this kiss was deeper with much more emotions behind it.
"I am ready to fall!" I whisper on his lips as he pulls away.
