Gold confetti in the air mixed with snow and love for the first time this year but definitely not the last. Legend says that you will meet your true love in your 25th year on the first snowfall of the year. You were out with some friends walking around after your birthday dinner. You were finally 25 but the first snowfall had appeared and you hadn't met anyone
tonight.
You continue down the path along the river when you step on a patch of ice. You started grabbing at the air as you began falling back watching your foot come up. You close your eyes accepting your fate when you feel a strong hand take hold of your wrist and another around your waist.
"It's okay I got you" A deep voice whispered.
Breathing ragged and heart beating fast. You open your eyes to assess the situation. This tall brunette with clear skin beautiful eyes and sharp features held you close to him. His lips slightly parted as he breathed hard looking straight into your eyes.
"Thank you" You whisper back but not moving an inch. Your right hand over his heart on his chest and his arms still holding you close to his body.
"No one should let a pretty person like you fall." He let you go and you stood up straight looking around for your friends. He places his hands in his jacket pocket shivering a little. You feel heat crawl to your cheeks even in this frigid weather. He chuckles looking down blushing as well.
"I'm (Y/N)" You chuckle nervously fixing your beanie and putting your hands in your jacket pocket.
"Hyunjin" He replied with a charming smile.
"Thank you again," You said with this flutter in your chest and stomach.
"No problem... Are you... Are you busy? I know a very warm hot chocolate place around here we can sit in for a while." He looks around and spots your friends from afar. You nod and turn your back to them.
"I would like to warm up actually." You smile and he puts his arm out for you to hold.
"Let's make sure you don't fall again." You giggle as you cringed at the thought of this handsome man watching you almost fall.
"That was totally embarrassing" He laughs as you laugh and cover your face.
"Don't worry I wont tell anyone. By the way happy birthday." A wind gust hit your body and you shivered still looking at him confused.
"Wait how did you know?" He looks down and you follow his gave to the "Today's my birthday' button on your scarf. "Oh..." You blush.
"Cute" He smirks
That night you really found your true love and prince charming. Everything came naturally and felt right. You spent weeks months and years getting to know each other.
3 years later your 28th birthday rolled around and Hyunjin took you back to the place you met. That day he got on his knee and asked to spend forever with you.
The legend you thought was full of it was real and you couldn't have been happier.
