September was the busiest month for birthdays.
Every weekend you had a celebration to attend. You really questioned why all your friends are Virgos and Libras when you are least compatible with them in all walks of life. Yet here you are at the biggest celebration you helped put together.
Since Han and Felix have a few hours between their birthdays and then Seungmin is the next week you and the boys decided to just lump them together in a huge celebration. Obviously, you made sure everyone had their own special birthday cake and special additions to the celebration. They all 3 really wanted a Mafia-themed party. So, Chan rented out a big enough space and you made sure everything went smoothly.
"Hey (Y/N) the staff is asking when they should begin shutting down the kitchen." Hyunjin casually walked up placing his hand on the middle of your back to gain your attention and nonchalantly whispered in your ear to not alarm anyone.
"What time is it?" You asked switching your drink from your right hand to your left so you could check your phone. Hyunjin brought his wrist up stopping you from struggling to get your phone out.
"11 pm." You looked around at the few people that were still around. The venue only allowed you to stay until 2 am but many people had work and schedules the next day.
"Tell them they can start shutting down at 12:30 but to use their better judgment if it's slow." Hyunjin nodded and quickly turned to relay the message to the kitchen staff.
You watched him walk away in his all-black mafia outfit with his hair up in a ponytail and fake blood on his knuckles and face. He looked extremely good and it was causing you to feel some newly uncovered emotions towards him.
"(Y/N)! Thank you for inviting us and finding our tickets to come. I hope Felix treats you extra special for this." You hug Olivia and Hannah grateful they could get here and celebrate with us.
"No problem I am always here and Felix is everyone's sunshine so it was no trouble at all. Have fun and let me know when you are heading out so I can send you to the hotel and make sure you make it safely." They both agreed and disappeared into the crowded dance floor.
You looked around making sure everything was okay and slipped out the back door for a few minutes. Your feet were killing you in the heels you wore and the vest you had decided to wear with your outfit was slightly too small over your chest so it hugged you a bit tighter than you wanted.
"Hey, are you okay?" The door opens and you straighten up quickly.
"Yes I am fine" You let out a sigh of relief that it was just Hyunjin.
"Are you sure?" He looks down at the vest open and your shoes in your hand. You bend down to put your shoes back on quickly mentally cursing yourself in embarrassment.
"I just needed a moment and my feet were a bit tired." You replied standing up straight again.
"You can take a breath and relax for a bit. Everything is going smoothly and the hard part is over. Just party like the rest of them." You giggled and shook your head.
"Easier said than done but I will go back inside in a few minutes... You don't have to stay out here; you can go and enjoy the party." The loud booms of the base could be heard outside where you were standing. You looked around the alley just trying to take a breather and relax before going back in.
"How's your anxiety right now?" Hyunjin asked taking your wrist in his and checking your pulse.
"I am fine" You quickly move your wrist away and avoid eye contact with him.
